Hello,

i search two wireless mouse/mice :

one that i use sometimes on my desktop PC, not for gaming at all, i want it last long on AA batteries (no need to be a small size mouse).

one for adapted toSteam-Deck usage, possibly USB-C (no need lot buttons btw) - NOT bluetooth.

Logitech has some good Bluetooth mice that go for ages on one battery. I tried to look for the one I've got for the bedroom HTPC, but I can't find it (it's an old model). I don't think I've changed its battery since last year.

If you don't mind plug-in charging, Cherry makes some good ones, too, although with a small, integrated li-ion battery, battery life shrinks down to 1-2 months.

As for USB-C wired ones, I don't know. I really don't like wired mice, to be fair.

Oh but my desk PC is converted to Zadig (Wii receiver will, instead :p ) so BT will not be available anyway, and my Deck i won't use BT neither.

The two mice need standards receiver, the thing i want is a BIG switch ON/OFF button like :

In that case, take a look at Cherry, if it's available in your region. Their mice aren't too expensive, come with a BT/RF switchable mode, and they're decent quality. :)

The problem with human interface devices (HIDs), like mice and keyboards, is everyone has unique hands. What feels great in my hand or at the end of my fingertips may feel uncomfortable, awkward, or even painful to you.

The best anyone can give for advice is their impressions for tracking and construction/assembly quality, battery life (if wireless), warranty support, etc. How it feels is too subjective and individually personal.

You need to visit shops and electronics stores and go play touchy-feely with these devices yourself. Try to position them at the same height - in relation to your body – as they will be when at your desk. Remember display models may have been abused so some mechanical functions (buttons, wheels, keys, etc.) may not work properly.

Take a bottle of hand-sanitizer with you!

I'm right handed but use my mouse with my left hand. I HATE contoured mice. I don't know who made the mice and keyboards for Microsoft, but I really like the Wireless Mouse 5000 - sadly no longer available. It came as a set with a really nice ergonomic keyboard called the Wireless Comfort 5050 AES set. I like the fact that as a set, they share a single USB dongle so only one port is taken up for both the keyboard and mouse.

However, Microsoft just recently sold off that production and is now partnering with Incase to make "Designed by Microsoft" keyboards and mice. I have no clue if the quality will remain the same. I hope so. That said, it does not seem they are for sale yet. :( Hopefully soon.

Note they are NOT considered gaming devices yet I have not noticed any delays or latency issues. Since you were specific in stating it is "not for gaming at all", that would be a non-issue anyway.

As for AA batteries, I note my MS mouse and keyboard batteries last about 5 - 6 months and I use my computer 4 - 5 hours every day. Still you might consider some decent rechargeable batteries.

I found the Cherry 2310 2.0 on Amazon FR for 25 euro, lucky me... it was the only not too high priced Cherry available and it looks verry good, the site has poor mouses availability it looks like, and i buyed only one bc for 15-20 euro there in not even prev/next side buttons entry Logitech's mini mouse(s), it's what i'd call an half-mouse.

The shape of the mouse i don't hink i care a lot, i never based my choice on the shape, the 502-Hero on my desktop PC is sooo good anyway.

By exemple the one Asus WT425 i have/had buyed bc lowy pricy at this time (a good way for them to sell broken stuff, all mice i buyed lower priced had wheel unfunctionnal, except g502 btw) feets my hand correctly, this one i'll receive is longer so i'll be able to compare (btw i think my hand would adapt to any mouse) :)

107.0(L)*74.0(l)*39.0(H) mm
65g

120.0(L)*75.0(l)*38.0(H) mm
122g

Technet only had bigger ON/OFF switch but needs AAA batteries:
Standard crappy switch, microscopic boring:

I'm glad you like it. I hope it'll serve you well! :)

Now I have a question... how is the Deck? I'm just about contemplating on getting one myself. :p
