I've been considering the new Rurouni kenshin anime. I still need to watch the live movie 2 and 3 I think I got left to watch?

That's quite a list.
Also from the news the first voice actress for Misty and Jessie from Pokémon passed away.

Live actions shouldn't be necessary for the complete experience IMO. I didn't watch the 24-episode reboot yet, but I plan on doing so sometime just to see how it stacks up to the original.

The sequel and prequel from 1999/2001 are worth watching before and after you finish the main TV series... heavy stuff, man.

That's quite a list.

I like many genres, so I check out a lot of titles and have a pretty large library. About half of those listed I've watched the rest of, so it's a continuing 'affair.' I'm pretty burned out on isekai though, so if the show doesn't do something interesting to hook me in the first few episodes, I drop those titles. (Arifureta is borderline, so I'll see if they do anything interesting with season 3.)

Oh no I wasn't making it out the live action were necessary, its just they are highly regarded as one of the best live adaptation of a anime/manga to date which it does.
Strange that a lot of anime youtubers don't talk about it, maybe its because of the author of the manga.
Its just I already watched The beginning and the 1st movie already, still have Inferno and the final to watch to complete it.

I kind of narrowed down my list of shows I would watch now but more power to you for keep trying to stay on top of other genres.

My favorites of this season:

* The Elusive Samurai -- Bipolar anime with super-dark / death scenes. But comedic relief always at the ready: kind of like Golden Kamuy. A focus on historical (and therefore real) stories / situations, but amped up with anime-logic.

* Dungeon People -- Thief-Girl is looking for father in the dungeon. When a Minotaur boss accidentally breaks the wall, the Minutaur breaks character and notes how horribly in trouble he is. An administrator of the dungeon pops out and hires the main character, as the admin needs more help running the dungeon. Mostly Moe-fun as Thief is very good at various tasks (ex: refilling chests without letting anyone else know). How did all those treasure chests get items in them anyway?

* Suicide Squad Isekai -- Trash Isekai, but its a fine Suicide Squad story actually.

Ugggh. Well, I didn't like where the show ended. The Isekai plot just wasn't good, but its natural that the story had to revolve around the queen, princess / etc. etc. and the rather generic Isekai tropes.

I guess its all in for Elusive Samurai and Dungeon People to please me this season.

RIP to this legend, really gutted as I was hoping for a Nier Replicant anime, now that I have caught up watching Nier Automata and they showed that 1 snippet of Kaine.

Being a UC Gundam fan, I have watched episode 1-3 of the new Gundam Requiem of vengeance on netflix.
It's not that bad, very interesting mix of use of Unreal engine 5 for the animation.
A bit confused on the timeline of the events, whether it's set before the events the white base lands on earth or after they rekted Garma and beat Ramba ral.

That's a nice review for a total pos, a travesty to the franchise even.

I watched this briefly as well, it def has unique graphics, I will give it that. Maybe a little too unique for my taste though.

I ended up dnf'ing it, was hoping it would get better, but it didn't. I am going to try the new Terminator anime on netflix next.

It's on my radar, but haven't started it yet. Watched the first two episodes of Dandadan, the opening is a banger and I rarely like the songs in the openings of anime. Scrpit got me laughing in a good way, I just wish the topic wasn't supernatural/occult. I could see myself watching the daily lives of the characters with urban/country environment and I'd be fine with it.

I finally got around to finishing Kaiju no 8. It's my kind of anime. OneRepublic / YoungBlud adds a flare of American style pop rock, the main character being a 32Y Male means less focus on childhood emotional trauma (that too many anime focus on today) and more focus on plot instead.

The comedy elements remind me of FMA:Brotherhood in that they lean heavily into a cartoon / Chibi-like joke despite the relatively serious setting.

Competent coworkers (ie: like Star Trek, not Star Wars).

Kaiju no 8 is obviously derivative but.... It's derivative of a lot of concepts I enjoy. The biggest scene derivations were Studio Khara (aka: Evangelion) scenes where modern weaponry is used vs Kaiju. There's just some studio signatures that make it obvious what anime they've worked on in the past.

I think long time anime fans will love the call outs and feel the freshness of this. Kaiju No 8 needs more recognition IMO.

Well the animation for blue lock season 2 is a bit meh. I can see why people are calling it slidelock. But that doesn't take away the fun of the show at least, I'm still getting hyped for our main man Isagi.

It's like no-one told the Vatican that R34 exists
R34 is one of those things that you just accept is gonna happen to any character that the internet gets hold of. So it becomes a cost/benefit analysis of "is this character going to do more good than there is going to be fucked-up porn of it?", and if you're as big as the RCC the answer is likely "yes".

At least in my circles, it's all wholesome so far.
