Now I know what you are all thinking, thank god Jensen was kind of enough to give us 12GB of VRAM with a 192 bit bus. I know some of you were worried he might give the 5070 more VRAM and a wider bus but obviously those fears won't come to fruition. Fingers crossed that the RTX5060ti comes with 8GB of RAM and a 128 bit bus and remember the more you buy the more you save so think of the all that VRAM you are saving by buying more.

Get ready for the price raping. Consumers are going to pay out the ass for 5th gen from nv.

The specs are a tad embarrassing but the price... This doesn't bother me.

First batch of new cards with a new generation of memory.
First new batch of generational improvements for creators on 2K/4K.
First look at consumer PCI-E g5x16, NVENC9 and NVDEC6.
Total stagnation in graphics features, modest update in CUDA.

But yeah it's gonna be $$$$ because early adoption GDDR7. :kookoo:
Even during a mining stagnation the scalpers, sneakerheads and all the other tourists are gonna be awful.
These cards have a very straightforward purpose and need to make it into the hands of creators, full stop.
It's not gonna happen without some blood.

Yields must be very good, 6400 and 10752 are fully enabled dies. 5090 full 512 bit memory. I can understand if N2/N3 is expensive but this N4/N5 rubbish should be cheap by now.
possible GB205 RTX 5060 12G 5K cores should be good.

The new RTX 5000 lineup makes me wonder how they compare to my Desktop PCs RTX 4070 Ti (not the super version). I'm looking to upgrade to a newer card for future-proofing and to get more performance for my work. It'll be a long wait before people have these new cards and can release benchmarks next year.

I was thinking the same thing. We haven't seen Nvidia be this "generous" with full fat dies out of the gate since the 10 series. Would be really nice if it was priced like the 10 series too...

4070 Ti Super goes for 800-1000€ in Germany, rumors suggest the 5070 will be close in performance. I wonder if we can pick up a triple fan 5070 in march for 800-850€ or prices will be high and shops will jack up prices in 2025 for 4000 series as well.

As long as the price continue to increase gen2gen I'm ok with that stagnation.

Youve completely lost the plot if you pay 800+ for an x70

4070 Super is 650€. Honestly these prices feel like were stuck in the mining era prices. I would gladly pick up a 4060Ti 16GB for 400€ but that's not much of an upgrade.

And prices go up a every week, even my 7800X3D costs a lot more than last year.

The 4070S is a notoriously badly priced product too even just within the Ada stack...

Yup, sadly its what it is.
Even the second hand 4070 Supers go for like 600+ where I live so my hopes for the 5000 serie to be decently priced is basically nonexistent at this point..

You can thank Jensen for that. I thought it was insane that they were releasing cards more expensive when GPU mining died for the next generation. Then the narrative made RT a necessity. The 192 bus is meh and so is 12GB of VRAM. Yes VRAM does not matter to play a Game but to avoid even the chance of GPU math going to DRAM or NVME makes for a much smoother experience. Throw in SAM and 12GB is meh indeed. This might be 10% faster than a 4070 Super in pure raster. Knowing Nvidia there will be some "must have" version of RT or Path Tracing where this card will be much faster.

The entire stack is poorly priced, really. The 4070S is not even the worst offender. The whole stack scales almost linearly with regards to price/performance without any noteworthy “sweet spot”. At least with AMD you can snag some good deals for 7600, 7700XT and the GRE. The best deal NV offers is unironically the 4060 and that is just sad considering how shit of a card it is.

In reality GDDR7 will be much more available than GDDR6X, but I agree, Nvidia will try again to f@@k customers.:nutkick:

Don’t complain, at least power draw and price go up.

If that's what the market is that's what the market is. I absolutely expect it to be around that.

True but what stings is that the 4070S is late in the cycle at that price AND a 12GB card at that price. Comparatively Id say the 4070ti S is in a much better place.

Absolutely, Ive seen 4070 super gpus for 580€ lot of times this summer and now suddenly a 4070 sucks? Why? because it is not the unnecessary new branch of ewaste 5000 series? and their new dlssx super powe 5 with ( insert marketing here that makes people think they need it ).

A 4070 super isnt exactly a 4070 , same as a 4070 ti isnt a 4070... But go ahead pay 1300€ for the gpu, or that 5090 im pretty sure people use it to pass some benchmarks and thats it.

Even at 4070S price, this 4070TiS equivalent GPU would be a trash generational upgrade.

Well yeah 27% vat and shops jacking up prices really sucks in Orbanistan. I wish we would have USA prices here, free healthcare is basically nonexistent anyway.

Just checked my receipt, I paid 870€(cheapest TiS in my country) for my first and 920€ for my second 4070TiS, I returned both due to trash fans. Now i'm thinking about getting a Trinity for 900€ and deshroud or iChill for 915€.
