I hope that the community may help me but I feel out of luck with iCue and my Corsair HX1200i PSU.
I had so many problems in past with my rig due to iCue.
I swapped my motherboard and CPU from Intel to AMD (from a 13900K on a Z690 to 7950X3D on a X670E) due to a DRAMM issue related to iCue and SMBUS.
Now RAM works well but now the offending device is now the Corsair HX1200i PSU (2024 version).
If I start a game or put some heavy load on the system all the USB resets, I can hear the windows ding/dong sound of devices disconnecting and reconnecting after few seconds.
All the usb resets, both internal and external ones.
This does not happen if I close iCue or if I disconnect the HX1200i power supply from the USB port.
I have wrote to the Corsair customer care, my PSU was sent for an RMA, I swapped the PSU but the problem remains.
Months passed with no solution and in the end the ticket was closed with no solution.
I tryed to RMA the motherboard, I swapped the mobo but the problem remains.
I even tried to move the HX1200i USB cable to other USB ports on a different USB controller, I tried to connect that USB cable to an external USB header using an adapter, but problem remains.
The weird thing is that the problem does not happen if:
1) I close iCue
2) I disconnect the HX1200i from the USB
The weird thing is that the problem happen immediately after I put some heavy load on the PSU like playing a game for example.
To me, this seems a design issue. Am I wrong?
