Hello,

I use iCUE for Corsair accessories. However, since v4, I've noticed it uses a lot of CPU. When I look at it in the Task Manager, I can see that its usage is between 20% and 35%. I haven't activated any monitoring plugin in the app's dashboard, so I just want it to adjust the volume for my headset. I use it because I want to, otherwise the sound is shrill. I completely uninstalled the app with its save folder when I reinstalled it, even a couple of times I had to reset all the settings, the problem persists.

It's been an issue for the last few NVIDIA GeForce versions, but I've also heard of others having a similar problem with the GeForce 565.90 driver, too. Apparently, there are a lot of people on the Corsair forums suffering from the problem, but they haven't given a definitive answer. Corsair says to revert to version 561.09.

NVIDIA lists as an open issue: "[Bluestacks/Corsair iCUE] May display higher than normal CPU usage [4895184][4893446]" https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc...ce-grd-56603-feedback-thread-released-102224/

Is there an alternative way?

Thank you,

I'd suggest connecting your fans to motherboard fan headers if you can, and deleting iCUE. It is generally agreed upon within the community that iCUE is bloatware that should be avoided if possible.

See if you can find iCUE version 4.33.138, and ignore any and all of Corsair's badgering to update it.

Edit: I just checked, and it's still available in their previous versions section.
