What's your latest tech purchase?

controllers are so expensive these days for some reason. I remember buying my Logitech F710 for 2500rs. I was looking into buying another one and was put off with the high prices. Makes no sense that it costs double now?

logitech was not an option for me, as wireless version of f310 was out of my price range, though wired was affordable but i want to game freely so i can't live with a wired controller and also it's not their best quality product if you go by the reviews

they arent in india, so their product prices are all over the place. mostly around $80 here for the cheapest one i can find!

maybe look for cosmic byte blitz, i have heard good things about it, it has hall effect sticks and costs around 1900.

Temps in low 40s and I can't hear it anymore so job done.

Yeah it's OK, had it for years.

Needs some larger bits I supplemented it with, and should have a torque wrench too but Wera comes to the rescue there. Also the tweezer jaws broke, so not too impressed with build quality, although it serves it's purpose well enough for me to not be bothered replacing it.

i fixed my logitech f710 and f310 up and they are working again, just needed to clean the carbon pads and the traces a bit on the switches.

my f310 is over 10 years old, the f710 is over 5 years old. Logitech, the old stuff, lasts forever with maintenance. My mouse G400 is from 2009.

My parts arrived! ---MSI b660 d4 Tomahawk, new reservoir, 80mm fan from Thermalright. Trying to post short clip from video... Case mod to my Dell XPS 710 chassis, which was perfect for a Ferrari 512TR inspired mod. So now its finally done. I throw up pics of the parts from my purchase in use in a bit.

So here are some pics of above mentioned parts and finished build. The MSI Tomahawk b660 D4, the thermalright fan and the tiny lil res that just fits perfect.

Another part arrived for my "retro gaming" PC (i.e. the What can I do with all of these parts that I stripped out of 2 dead computers).

Got it really cheap ($34) - and that is because it appears to be an open box, rather than new. Everything is there, except for the bubble wrap around the PSU. Looks like a buyer's remorse return.

I will test it out Thursday, when my Power Supply tester shows up.

I am Ready for Haswell.

just received my controller and already a few red flags, triggers are not adaptive, they just click in. There was no manual or anything like that but they did provide a warranty card with qr code, even with slight distance from the location of dongle (which is at the back of my pc and it's very crowded with very limited space around it to travel for wireless signal, maybe i should use front panel usb for this) the controller disconnects like it can't live up with more than 1m distance.

Will Test a few games and see how it goes or is it worth keeping.

I am just eyeing the Bambulab eco-system. I really like their approach to the 3D printing. And their slicer is based off Orcaslicer, which is current "KOH", so yeah....if I had the funds I'd definitely pull the trigger.

I'm going with a Qidi4 Plus next since I'm interested in more engineering grade filaments. It can print newer stuff like PPS-CF and they have a multi filament box coming out next year (hopefully) so I can work with multi material prints.

zebronics is a semi reputable company in India. they have been selling rebadged chinese products for a few decades now. Some of their stuff is surprisingly good, i remember they had a PSU that was a clone of seasonic that was very good and got quite popular because it cost 2/3rds that of a real one

i had a 500w circle psu which lasted me good 5 years. I think it costed me only 2600 and was Crossfire and SLI certified. It had an decent 140mm fan which used to be quite even at full load and never i saw it getting even a little bit warm even during summers.

but ps5 controller also has an inbuilt battery, sony must have thought of long term. But yeah you can't compare a 5k controller to something cheap like this.

btw you can do a test on your system via windows settings itself. It also helps with calibrating the joysticks and other analog controls
