My PC specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
  • Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Spectrum V3
  • RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 3200 MHz HP V6
  • GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1060 6GB Xtreme Gaming Edition
  • Storage: Samsung 128GB M.2 SSD, Seagate 500GB HDD, Hitachi HDD
  • PSU: Cooler Master 750W 80+ Platinum from an HP Omen build
  • Case: Technozone C11
When I use my PC for gaming or browsing, the display randomly stops, and the GPU's fan RPM becomes very high. After this happens, I need to forcefully shut down the PC and restart it for it to run normally again.

I need help fixing this issue. Any suggestions?

Was it CM or GB who had some very dodgy PSU's only a couple of years ago? Could also be the fact he doesn't have a motherboard!
But the fans will spin up like this when there is a fatal error with your system, you need to reset your bios options to default and run HWinfo logging when you are playing games or doing usual stuff to see if it picks anything up, what is your CPU/GPU temps, OS, sure looks like either temps or power issue, without more info we could keep guessing.

Check the GPU PCIe power cables, make sure they are plugged all the way in and look at the pins if they are all lined up at the same height, this type of stuff can happen when there is something loose making intermittent contact.

Im guessing since the ram is HP and the PSU is pulled out of another HP that the motherboard itself is some unknown own brand HP one also.

Check Event Viewer for anything related to your problem. I suspect a GPU issue but I could be wrong; also run HWinfo64 and check the PSU for voltages on the rails.
