Honestly, the most actually interesting thing for me that I got out of this review is the fact that the 4090 is actually STILL somewhat CPU limited in some scenarios even in realistic loads at 1440p and in rare instances even at 4K (okay, it’s notoriously CPU heavy BG3, but still). This kinda tells me that the eventual 5090s actual real performance will essentially be a mystery from the launch review. So it replaces the 7800X3D as the gaming chip to get, but isn't worth changing from any other X3D chip, debatably not even the 5700X3D unless you are actually using a 4090 to game at 720p/1080p (which is obviously stupid/beyond-niche).
This little factoid is unironically more interesting than the chip in question.
