What map are you playing on? In the sandbox mode I really liked the Horizon map, great map to learn the ropes, lots of space.

I think the last game that made me feel as much a boss-man as this one, was Shadow Warrior 2. But Ghost of Tsushima does it better. It remains calm about it, until it doesn't. It's a wild collection of copied concepts in the good old open world game, but man. It does things well. Really well. I like how the game never gets in your way; its pretty easy, but it also plays super smoothly. Combat is about as deep as a puddle... but still, its hard not to just enjoy it for the scenes and pictures it provides. Occasionally, you do get challenged a little bit, still, which also prevents boredom.

Finished this sunday God of War (the original on PS2 emulator).
One of my favorite game.
It's funny because i've started the "new" God of War, the one with the northern mythology ...
I don't really like it. To me it's just a take on The Last of Us with more combat.
The old one, it's a masterclass of action. The combats are fun, it's fast, responsive, and camera well placed.
Some enigmas to calm down sometimes, just one of two tricky passage, nothing hair pulling.
I should redone the 2 too, and maybe the 3 (wich is totally crazy, even better than the sum of the 2 first).

Everybody should remember this passage, and this sword. The artistic direction is top class !

The temple on the Cronos's shoulders. It gives an ide of the game's grandeur !

To Hell and back. It reminds me Dante's Inferno, a very competent clone of God of War, to bad no PC version :/

What's this ?? Was a Pre-version of GoW, the endgame bonus shows some unused concepts and arts, very interesting !

One of the few good things about me is that I can watch something like that and just not care about any of it to the point of having difficulty spotting the differences he points out. Texture pop-ins maybe, but other than that? Nah.

Just did a play through of Resident Evil HD with the Rescale mod. It looks so great. Also used MSAA with compatibility bits (only works at 1080p). I think the Rescale mod is the best upscale fix for the game.

I then did another play through of Resident Evil Zero, which by default looks incredible, but couldn't get MSAA to work over 1080p, so I injected HQAA with reshade on the highest quality profile... and it worked extremely well, although ate up 10% of my GPU performance.

do you remember what your emulation settings were for god of war? not sure if you can just screenshot it or not, but that would be helpful. I want to replay it as well, but I can never figure out what settings to use, or enhancements, etc

Something simple, with PCSX2 :
mostly everything by default, pump up the internal resolution (4x native for 1440px), trilinear filter (trilinear PS2), anisotropic filter (4x).
You'll get the same render as the one on the screens.
You can play with a lot of options, but i found it change just by margin, the real deal, to me, is the resolution and the anisotropic filter.
(of course, maybe some game needs fine tune to play right, but not God of War it seems. The compatibility page is exhaustive about this subject !)
With PCSX2 you can see the changes in real time, so you can configure it at best !

More Life is Strange Double Exposure.

I plan to play this one at a bit of a slower pace and in short sessions. These games aren't long so I don't want to rush it, and I'm also busy with other stuff (other games and real life).

That nose bleed never means anything good...

Fluffy cloud animal thingy, haha, I want that shirt (which is funny because she panics and wants to change out of it because unexpected company is heading over).

I really want this game but I haven't justified buying the deluxe version yet plus I need a bed in the second room because winter is coming and sleeping on my ikea sofa doesn't cut it anymore been doing in it for the past 2 years since the wall in the bedroom and kitchen in my apartment ain't keeping the heat in and when it gets below 0c it's cold.

Maybe later this month or next month I might end up buying Life is Strange Double Exposure been waiting on it since I heard about it.
I am a fan of the Life is Strange series and I enjoyed True Colors a lot.
Oh yeah, a bed would definitely take priority for me over a game, haha.

I have the opposite problem; my home stays a bit warm (but it hasn't gotten super cold here yet). And if I use my PC, it makes a lot more heat now especially since the new graphics card uses a lot more power than my old one did. I do like it warm... but not that warm, especially when trying to sleep, so I often open my window at night.

I'm liking the game so far, but I'm not far enough into it by any means to really say. I don't get the impression it will be as good as the first since that's probably hard to do, but I'm already liking a couple of the characters, and it seems to have world presentation down like the previous titles usually did. It feels a bit more "mellow" (in a good way, like the calmer moments of the first one) as opposed to "high stakes, teen drama" of the first one, but maybe that's because I'm still early in the game. The first one sort of didn't pick up until later chapters too, but I heard the later chapters here are where it potentially falls apart for some people. I think Ruru could answer that better.

It seems like most of the people who seem to have a problem with this new one are the same people who really only liked the first one (made by Nontnod) and didn't care for the Deck Nine titles, so if you know you liked those, you'll probably at least "not dislike" this one, even if you're not crazy about it.
