nVIDIA Quadro M2000M not working on Dell Precision M4800

I am new here and I need help. I have an NVIDIA Quadro M2000M GPU and Windows 11, but the graphics card is not working. I downloaded the drivers both manually and automatically from the NVIDIA website, but I still can't get it to work.

I have attached some pictures to provide more details about the issue.

Exchanging the MXM GPU results in an unknown SUBSYS ID

Unpack latest driver eg with 7zip
Run NVCleanstall
select "use driver files on disk"
browse to the unpacked setup.exe
tick "add HW support" and select
template: any M2000M
id: 13b0
name: NVIDIA Quadro M2000M

after installation check device manager for
code 0 = success
code 43 = incompatible GPU for whatever reason

Mobiles have a bios whitelist of what particular cards will work in their unit due to power and heat constraints

Hallo.
Dell branded Notebooks are mostly a B*tch.
Even the Battery won't charge if you don't use a Dell branded Power Supply/Charger.
I had the Precision M4600 Ivy/Sandy Bridge Gen, and i was able to run a Quadro M4000M GPU on it.
you will need a Dell vBIOS for your M2000M and Flash it.
guess a Driver .inf mod will be not necessary.

I tried to do what you suggested, but without success. I will return the graphics card because it doesn’t make sense to keep trying to make it work.

It never made sense to do it on any mobile.

Thank you very much for everything In the process of reconnecting the ribbon cables for the keyboard and touchpad, I damaged them; I managed to reverse the one for the touchpad, and it works fine, but the keyboard one no longer works. I’m not even sure if replacing the keyboard would mean it comes with a new ribbon cable… I’ve just packed the graphics card to send it back and get a refund. I’ve already lost two weeks with the NVIDIA Quadro M2000M and the NVIDIA Quadro K1000M. The graphics card that works without issues is the standard NVIDIA Quadro K2100M, with Windows automatically detecting the driver.
This is a wonderful forum. I didn’t expect anyone to respond so quickly. I will definitely come back if I encounter any more issues

btw, Constanta is an absolutely gorgeous city, a friend of mine went there on holidays twice. She loves going to Romania on holidays in general, but I think Constanta is her favorite place.
