Nice! Custom Windows ISO?

To me it looks like one of those unofficial cracked Windows builds with tons of illegally copied software.

Yes... a Vista look a like.. plus they integrated drivers and a few other apps
I believe it's this one:

My XP rig runs genuine Home Edition with Embedded POSReady 2009 updates. It has current third party AV protection, and all unnecessary services disabled.

Year that's the one... and this machine won't be connected to the internet.

Nice! Core2Quads are cheap right now, if you don't have one it's a great time to get one.
Q6600 is what it has in it!!

The oldest I have, is a late-socket-775 system, the Asus Maximus II Gene, which is from 2009, which I got used in 2013. I have some Core 2s, mostly 45nm.

TMK, the latest Asus socket 775 motherboard to use DDR2!

Q6600 is what it has in it!!
The only way to tell, is to try it. I won't be able to tell if that sample OCs better than the Q6600 I possibly still have sitting around. I would be able to tell, major-fast, if it's a better OC'er, because I've been testing the one that I got used in the mid-2010s, and that's the one that unfortunately has bus error issues at only 367 MHz. :( But, I went to focusing on 45nm Core 2 OC'ing.

Haven't OCed it yet but I don't use it that much and I'd have to repaste it and that will have to wait till some other day...

I do know this: If on a P45 chipset motherboard, if it goes to 380 MHz FSB and still no error with Prime95 blend, then that would undoubtedly will be a better sample!
I of course, moved on to 45nm Core 2 by years ago. The bad luck I had with the Q6600 I had. On my turd sample, I can't even get 370 MHz FSB before I run into a major issue.
Even better, would be a Q6600 that can go to 390 MHz FSB and 3.5 GHz core with zero errors.

Yup, no OCing on that model of Dell.
Yes, though a simple BSEL tape mod can be done to bump it up to 333 FSB/3GHz if desired. Should work without vcore needing to be increased (unless it's a terrible chip).

Does your BIOS settings keep on getting lost when unplugged. (A.K.A., "saves CMOS to fake CMOS" (RAM) ) That's a known issue with late video cards on legacy-BIOS!
The latest video card that I tested with a legacy-BIOS to work with no issue, was a GeForce GTX 970. The BIOS is pretty much identical to what a lot of 1366 motherboards have. Especially related to PCI-E slots and memory regions. Makes me suspect that with Radeon, any card later than an R9, could result in the strange bug. I popped in a Radeon RX 580 into my 1366 rig in summer, 2019 and didn't notice until there was a power outage or I unplugged it then turned it back on.

I doubt that UEFI is affected, OTOH.

It will be interesting, if you don't have such bug with a Radeon RX.

Actually, know what 65nm dual-core Core 2 took the cake for the most-turd-of-an-OC'er? My Pentium E2180.
In late-August, 2009, I got a Core 2 Duo E4500 from 2007 that was light years ahead! Popped it into my Asus P5QL Pro motherboard. (from 2008)

For the Quad: My Q6600, even when a G0.

In my case for DDR2, with all 4 slots filled, I had to raise the VDIMM, or the BIOS would crash. (freeze at motherboard logo) I raised it to 1.90V. And that was for 666/667.

That's a big maybe. The Q6600 was a great CPU for OCing, but it wasn't as easy as that. Voltage adjustments were frequently needed, even if only just a little bit. It would be much easier to just buy a Q9450, Q9550 or Q9650, which that system supports.

Well, I tried :
First boot to Windows, after checking settings are applied - shut down, then switch off PSU + wait for caps to run dry. After that I powered it on again, and went straight to BIOS.
All settings were kept (date, OC settings, boot order, etc).

Note : I made BIOS "kept" settings after boot failure (just in case to avoid any false wipes due to BIOS thinking it's "OC failure").
