These are the last days of my air cooled build. The issue isn't the AK620 Digital cooling the 5700X3D, far from it. It's the Radeon suffering with high ambient temperatures (easily over 33C) even with all them fans trying to push air.

Here you go:

Proprietary cooling system designed by hardware engineers who have 20+ years in mechanical design, CFD, etc. and multiple patents with exciting names like "Computer thermal system" and graduated from top tier engineering programs like Carnegie Mellon, MIT, Caltech, etc.

In fact, the cooling system is over-specced. It was designed for Intel CPUs that had a higher TDP than the M2 Pro in my device. The fan runs around 1700 rpm (nearly inaudible) unless I am doing a Handbrake rip. Even then, the fan is pretty quiet, way quieter than any of my DIY Windows desktop builds.

There is no way that I could design and assemble a compact cooling system as good as this.

I bet you could come up with something close. At about 50w you need a fan. -M2 is only 30w. Passive np.

But this kind of reminded me.
Oh, I forgot the wattage screenshot for the Fan only picture I left on the previous page here.

During Cinebench run. 14100F IHS plate and fan only. 17w peak. No heat sink. :)

my fans run at 400rpm. I just have a bachelors in mechanical engineering from a normal college. Apple job offer when
Apple is not using off-the-shelf fans. The Mac mini fan running at 1700rpm emanates about the same amount of sound as a Noctua NF-S12A running around 500 rpm. However at full load, the Mac's fan is still very quiet.

I have four DIY desktop PC builds and none of them are as quiet at full load. Plus they are much larger machines. The Mac mini's thermal system is a marvel.

I also had a couple of custom loop builds that were pretty quiet. I decommissioned both and now I rely on AIO coolers for my desktop builds.

And yes, I also have a couple of mini PCs (like the Beelink Mini S12 Pro). Their fans are noisy than the Mac's but with a $150 price tag for these Intel N100-powered boxes, I'm okay with that.

Apple doesn't have to shoehorn industry standard 120mm x 25mm fans into its cases.

Lesson here: not all fans are equal and we can't just buy whatever fan Apple is using in its Mac mini M2 Pro at Microcenter or from Amazon.com and stick it in our standard DIY Windows boxes.
