Hi all
I would like to upgrade my Omen machine ( Omen 880-181 nf) with the ASUS RTX 4070 TUF.
My configuration is:
PSU :Corsair RM850X
Motherboard Tampa 2 (MS-7A61 ver3.1
Bios updated to AMI F.56 dated oct 2022
Processor: Intel I7-8700 K
RAM: Crucial (4x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22=> 64 GB

Do you see any bottlenecks for this GC?
Thanks for your comments

Hi there, welcome to the forums.

There will be some bottle necking. Not terrible I wouldn't think. 1440P, should make a nice setup. 8700K though, is getting long in the tooth.

thanks for your comments.
For the time being I will not change my monitor , that means I will be on 1080p. This should be OK for the old i7-8700 K,

you will notice it more and more in newer games that recommend more cpu power. for 10 year running a 4770k with a gtx1080 and it was bottle necking the gtx1080. I didn't notice it at the time til i upgraded cpu's so likely you won't notice it unless you look at benchmarks what you get vs high end machine.

Thanks for yoyr comment. I play only with msfs 2020 or msfs2024. The cpu in this case hase a usage max up to 70%. Temp is around 75 degrés. This référence to m'y gtx 1080.
So I think that with the upgrade rtx 4070, rm850x and 64 GB ram the I 7 should not be at ils limit?

that's a pretty demanding CPU game, looking at Tom's review of the game and the RTX 4070 it's clear the 8700k would hold the GPU back from performance.

It's a good card, I have a super.

1080P leans more on the CPU than the GPU in a lot of games. As you will see other comments mention.
However, I'm sure it'll game better than what you are using now. In example, it's about 150% faster than my 980ti.

I think you can enjoy the card even on 8700K, so no worries there. :)
