what games do you struggle with ? how many fps do you get in 1440p? rt/dlss ? not really a gamer by a mainstream gamer standard but considering it for video editing and ive spoke to editors that say itll be just fine for the job. it would hold me off for a year or 2. wait for 50 series to flood the market

ordered 5950x and have been trying for some months to find a 3090 with a price ive had in mind. ive seen 2 sold at the price I have set but swiped up quickly.. prices are too high, so I have tons of patience to wait it out. 3070/3080, not enough vram. yes 3080ti with 12gb but prices are higher then 3090. people think a TI is worth more then the next level up for some reason. amd is worse. they hardly rank on davinci resolve benches but the used prices are far higher. bizarro world.

dont care for 40 series- for now anyway. bang for buck is always too high for newest gen. I always wait 1-2 gen to buy flagship products.

we live in a world where once new gear is the best thing since sliced bread and when something newer comes along, all of a sudden, the old product is thrown to the curb- "its garbage, only buy the newest" mindset. and the loop is done again with the next gen. I dont run after the newest, I leave the honor to beta testers who pay the premium then buy it for 1/2-1/5 the price.

You know the 2080Ti still appears in the TPU GPU tests right?

thank you. I have seen many videos and articles and graphs but I also feel many of them are biased so I want to hear from those who own it. I know theres a guy here, I think from out of the USA who uses 2080ti. I think in sli. so really curious what real world users say

I did see tons of benches and graphs and videos. tons on yt. I see the 2080ti go blow for blow with 3070, some more fps with 3070, some with 2080ti. but the huge flaw is only 8gb. 11gb is useful for editing. it wouldnt bother me for gaming since I play 1440p or even drop to 1080 is ok. 60fps is bliss!

the newest game ive played is from 2018. so im not a real gamer but want to hear from users. I have no interest in those games in the list. assasins creed has been played out to death. im not a mainstream aaa gamer.

but basiclly wanting feedback on what others like or dont about it. saw a guy selling 2 fan evga one but he doesnt have a chat app open so thats suspicious to me. tons and tons of 3090 3080 3080ti 3070 3070 selling but so few 2080ti

I always wait 1-2 gen to buy flagship products.

You shouldn't do that, flagship video cards are always really bad value, even if you wait whatever number of generations.

I still run a 2080ti, mostly for flight sims and wargames. Didn't notice any problems but what do I know what I am missing? Never had a faster card. At least it has a good chunk of video memory.

Not really a 2080 Ti user, my GPU is a quarter tier worse, 6700 XT. Only the newest UE5 titles are capable of dismantling my GPU at high settings, everything below that runs wonders at 1080p and 1440p, sometimes even 4K. You should expect stellar 1080p performance since only los estúpidos play all Ultra and the absolute most of video games will be fine at 1440p @ High/Med-High presets. 4K is fairly enjoyable but in most demanding games you should enable aggressive DLSS modes or lower a lot of settings for that to be butter smooth.

All in all, if 3080 Ti cost way too much and 4060 Ti 16 GB doesn't look appealing for whatever reason then actually yes, 2080 Ti is a go. Keep in mind this is an abused, dated GPU. No one will promise it won't break after a couple months.

I had a 2080Ti for quite some time before the 4080.

It struggles with the very new engines, the 11GB of vram is godsent but the DLSS saves it and can make everything playable with decent settings.

I would go for a 3090 though, although it's not recommended if gaming is your primary usage. It can game obviously, but it's more useful as a prosumer gpu.

I saw some newer games which it seems to have an issue with but im slow to play new games. im always behind 3-5 years to even take interest in any game and the games I see arent interesting. I play stupid games like gris and stray or games that run really smooth with minimal gear. I dont play "crysis" style games that need tons of hardware.

shame there isnt some 16gb 30 series card. 3090is more then one will ever need with 24gb and 3080 has its own reasons why not. not that 2080ti 11gb is much better. but for davinci resolve 2080ti still kicking asz a bit under 6900xt. so not too bad. the plus is the 11gb vram.

but for 40% gaming and 60% editing, itll hold me off for 2 years. and around 40% of the price of a 3090 thats selling in classifieds

ill test it with furmark at the sale and see.. will repaste and repad, hammer it with extra fanage. fingers crossed. 2 years, should be ok. newest game im playing is from 2018. and I dont play aaa games. but for editing spoke to someone who has it. says in 4k multi cam and fusion, work with proxies and its fine. made me happy to hear. I wish I could go with 3090 but prices are too high. Ive been following for months and its not dropping.

I only care for 60fps, and 1440p im not putting it at the highest settings anyway. im fine with a mix of high/med. dont care for rt really. I dont have much needs with gaming. editing is what concerns me and it should be fine. cheers

how so? my pocket is happy the performance is always a big jump up from what I have. I would get the 3080 if it had 14gb but the 2080ti will hold me off for 2 years and now with thieving 50 series prices probably going to be higher, ill wait even longer till prices come to something reasonable. maybe will jump to 3090 or maybe something in 40 series when the time comes. thats my plan, ive been doing it for years and im sticking to that. waiting for 5950x to come in.

1-im not a gamer and dont play aaa games. newest game I play now is from 2018. 60fps is bliss! I think maybe in 10 years ill move to 4k. if I ever do.
2-for davinci resolve studio, 2080ti will still kick some asz. runs a tad bit less then 6900xt. it also overclocks nicely if I need it and run it well with enough cooling

Ok, but do you see the 3080Ti in the chart you posted??
It matches my 4080(16GB/256bit).
The 3090 with 24GB/384bit is a really pro gpu.
The 2080Ti is good if you find it real cheap but the 3090 gets the vote for me.
