Broken GPU

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7570 (Dell) with a 6570 vbios (for macOS)
A few days ago I used a bad psu and the motherboard it was connected to just died,
But I’m not sure about the gpu
Yesterday I plugged it in to a pc and it worked a few times and the rest it didn’t
Do you think it’s fixable?

As for if it's fixable ... maybe? Is something visibly wrong with it? Probably not though, if the PSU killed the motherboard some ICs or chips may be toast.

The 6570/7570 Turks chips are really long in the tooth at this point.
They're well over a decade old, do not play well under anything DX11, no encode and OpenCL is rough.
If it works, expect frame specific audio stutters in DX11 games, hard locks when zipping past mirror reflections and driver crashes.
Overclocking does not help any part of this series.

I’m just not really sure what I can tell you
The fan does spin, on my main motherboard the VGA debug light is on

about the motherboard, when the psu turns on the fans just spin uncontrollably
Also the cpu stayed fine through all of this

I also want this specific gpu because it’s the only one I have that is old enough to support windows xp and also supports macOS

VGA debug lamp? How recent is the board?
Turks doesn't belong on a modern board.
It can probably work but try tossing it into an older system.

“On my main board” which is modern, I thought maybe because the vbios is uefi then it doesn’t work on the old motherboard

Also I have a really old DRR socket 939(I think) motherboard that has debug lights too

Sometimes pictures of the bare PCB can help especially when dealing with a card thats possibly been fried. Maybe someone can spot signs where something on it that went pop.

Not sure where you live but you need to find a pcb repair shop like northridgefix

Just because you can't see it externally doesn't mean something wasn't damaged, im not sure if thesw cards have a fuse or not.

Can you take a picture of the area under the heatsink? There doesn't seem to be any visible damage on the back side or the visible area next to the heatsink. In these cases, if the card looks dead but there is no visual damage, you can only try to test it with a multimeter by going straight to the points, or finding the short with a FLIR camera.

Fortunately this card is old and really cheap, since it suits your needs, it might be worth it just purchasing a replacement if you cannot diagnose it well. Good luck!

Yeah I'd say this card would pass a purely visual inspection, no components seem to be burned or blown open to the naked eye so if there is a short somewhere you'd need to manually find the offending component unless you happen to own an infrared thermal camera (short circuits tend to get hot). I'm a bit concerned about the brown hue near the core but it might just be your lighting or some grime.

Having it serviced by a professional isn't worth it, since this is a very inexpensive card and you should be able to just buy a new one for a lot less than a technician would charge to fix it.

Upside is, you have a great test subject if you ever fancy learning the trade.

A prudent choice because geographically there may be no pcb repair shop. If anything sell the existing 1 as a parts card
