Not really a thread, but I wanted to buy a 980ti for reasons recently, got this one for cheap, im not a reviewer
Couldn't find a single review online
So I took it apart, we can see it's a reference pcb
No backplate, but the fan shroud feel nice, and the memory cooler keep the card from bending
It consume 230w under load and runs at around 1240mhz out of the box, voltage limited, cannot be increased in afterburner
Not quiet, no fan stop, not loud either
Really need a good airflow in your case
No side panel does 73c at 65% fan speed (time spy stress test), closed case with 2 top mounted fans and 2 intake, 83c (hotspot 97c) and a slight frequency drop (still over 1200mhz)
Since the fins are vertical, it heat up the side panel a lot (glass)
1200 fps in the witcher 3 main menu, a very very very slight coil whine (im not even sure it could come from the fans)
Doing some oc (for the lulz I hate it), I got something somewhat stable at +250 for the gpu (1500mhz) and +500 for memory (2000mhz / 384gb/s) and power limit to 110%, got me from 64 to 76fps (witcher 3 dx12) and consumption to 250w
Time spy gpu oc : 6450 from 5433 and my oc frequency are locked
Oh no it turned into a review
Feel free to ask questions
