The system cannot find the path specified - 566.36 both 1.16 & 1.17

Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.2314) , Windows 11 Pro for Workstations

Anyone else getting this error? I'm getting it on both 16 and 17 (installed vs portable tested, same result)

Only thing I can think of is I turned off Local Security Authority protection - I'm currently at work and I can't restart; could this be the issue?

Edit: I also did DDU safemode, same result when building standalone .exe , only option checked is the driver (Minimum setup) , Adv tweaks: Multi Plane Overlay disabled box check, telemetry and ads disabled check

Had the same error. Seems like they implemented a warning now for the latest 566.36 nvidia driver:

Aye, I'm getting the exact same message.

Got notification about new driver (566.36, my current is 566.14), the process goes fine at start, it creates its files and such, and then as soon as it runs the driver installation I get the same message. NVCleanstall doesn't see that the install failed, so it's just waiting in the background as it normally does.

The difference compared to the previous times was that with this latest install, it showed some components that weren't there previously:

I think it's that new NVIDIA App that's supposed to replace GeForce Experience and NVidia Control Panel? Not sure if I should check those boxes too, I've only been trying with those unchecked.
Btw, the NVIDIA App was updated automatically today when I opened it to its first stable release 11.0.1.184 (I installed it because it supposedly does some automatic mini-tuning of VRAM and GPU?

Anyway, I've had it installed for a while and there hasn't been any issues with NVCleanstall's installations so far, today is the first time.

Never mind, I read the solution in the other thread, I need to check those new Unknown components too and not run it unattended.

Issues with drivers 566.36 and NVCleanstall v1.17

Latest nvidia driver update seems like have introduced some difference in its files. Now with driver 566.36 and latest NVCleanstall it gives an error the moment you press "Install" to start Nvidia installation prompt (see screenshot below). It basically says "unable to find the specified path"...

In my defense, I was super early - I also download the files directly from nvidia and uses driver in file. But I'm so glad I don't have to reinstall OS like some redditors said years ago when they were facing the same issue with Nvidia installation lol

Love how we both made TPU accounts just for this. I'm on 5950X 4070 Ti Super 64 gigs of ram - I can easily handle nvidia bloat like its nothing but old habits die hard. NVCleanstall is the most important thing for all the machines I work on at a daily basis
