Don't quite remember but I believe it was Garry's Mod

What was the first PC video game you played?
TF2

What was the first arcade video game you played?
Terminator Salvation

What was the first online video game you played?
Halo Reach

What was the first video game related merchandise you purchased? (This could be clothing, a book, a statue or figure, etc.)
I bought a Halo book back when Halo 4 came out. I think it was Fall of Reach.

What was the first hardware purchase you made for (a) video game(s), and what game(s) was it for? (This could be a new PC part for a new game with higher requirements, or on the console side something like a new accessory such as a memory card, or even a new console itself for a new game you wanted.)
I guess an Xbox 360? My dad bought it for me back in 2011. He didn't buy any games along with it, but I went to GameStop with him later and picked (you guessed it) Halo Reach.

What was the first digital video game you purchased?
Garry's Mod on Steam

What was the first video game disappointment you had? (This could be a game that let you down, a moment that ruined you in a play through, a lost save, etc.)
Can't remember my first but I am certainly very disappointed with myself for selling the 360 a few years back. She served me well...

That would definitely be a "I'll never recover from this emotionally" scenario.

And of all of the Final Fantasy games to have it happen in (at least up until that point), that might be the worst one to have it happen in. No kidding, I'd probably rather lose a Final Fantasy IX save than a Final Fantasy X save. Okay, yes, part of that is just because I'd never mind having another go around at the story for Final Fantasy IX (but X's is really good too), but seriously... Final Fantasy X's end game, especially the international version, just had so much time investment needed for a single player game for the time.
All that sphere farming etc. for getting a platinum trophy in the HD version took ages, and I should do the same on PC, daaamn....

What was the first video game you played?
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando / 2, or Borderlands 1, or Sonic Adventure. I could not tell you for a matter of a fact which one came first for me, as my childhood was very much filled with old and new. I mean my favorite childhood TV series was from the 80's, but that's for a whole another topic for another day..
What was the first video game you completed?
Poker Night at the Inventory, not a whole heck of a lot of achievements but its very fun. Passed the time for 8 year old Scatter, and might be the reason I'm now chronically addicted to games with alot of RNG in them.
What was the first video game you bought with your own money?
Borderlands 2, specifically the PSVita version of it which is a insanely good port to my memory.
What was the first PC video game you played?
Doom 2. Started real old here compared to the games I first began playing in general but I was ultra fascinated with Doom as a kid and naturally gravitated towards them. I still boot up Doom 2 on the occasion sometimes to replay it. Maybe play one of the expansion packs on the occasion.
What was the first arcade video game you played?
1942, or Donkey Kong 3.
What was the first online video game you played?
Minecraft, or CoD:WaW. LittleBigPlanet would be my third option. LBP is the one I can for sure date, WaW was maybe ~2010. Again, I had a mix of old and new and honestly I dont think my folks got any of the black ops games till 3.
What was the first video game related merchandise you purchased? (This could be clothing, a book, a statue or figure, etc.)
Probably the ultimate edition of Halo 3, honestly I'm not big on merchandise like that. Having the Master Chiefs helmet on display though is a really nice conversation starter though.
What was the first digital video game you purchased?
Minecraft. The old mobile edition of it, specifically. Good stuff.

PC Wise? New Ram for my piece of crap all in one. After that I bought a pre-built which was awful value but it lasted me 8 years before I upgraded recently again with my frankenstein machine. Console Wise? A Wii exclusively to replay Mario Kart Wii. And a flight stick which turned out to be compatible with my PC so now I can play games that should not be played with flightsticks, with flight sticks. Don't do thermal paste, kids.

Oh man. there's a lot of options here, I think I'll go with the fate of LittleBigPlanet. As a kid, I grew up with that franchise and would always revisit it even into my adult years because the game holds a special charm to it that not many other games I've played really have. It was one of those lightning in a bottle games, and for a sandbox platformer, it was amazing at what it did. I'm still very bitter at Sony for basically killing LBP by abandoning the franchise after the 3rd game didn't do as well as the first two.

The same fate happened to Twisted Metal and Ratchet and Clank, but at least Ratchet and Clank got two games, one of which is amazing, while twisted metal hasn't gotten anything since 2012 besides a okay TV show.

So if I had to summarize, Sony's love of abandoning their beloved franchises.

What was the first PC video game you played?
After putting together my first PC ( Intel 8086 or 8088 I can't recall ) from my fathers spare parts I played a bootlegged packman in DOS.

You know, I might be "reaching" here and jumping to a hasty conclusion, but... I'm beginning to think you might just like Halo Reach?

I never cared much for the Halo series (this doesn't mean I dislike it though!), but despite that the original one is sort of nostalgic for me anyway. I got a Final Fantasy IX book during the day a friend's brother went to the store and it was on their gameplay demo kiosk thing, and it was generally just a big title on the Xbox during the time I had the PlayStation 2, so some people (namely her brother, haha) were into it, so it kind of reminds me of those times.
