If the M25 G2 fans are as good as the previous ones, these may be the better RGB fans on the market.

First time seeing software from Phanteks. Let's see how it competes with the others.

Why does that software look like it was developed in 2010 - with 2010-type Bugs/UI issues?

Not really a criticism of Phanteks, but why are all these shitty plastic boxes for ARGBLED fans a random shape and size?

We have 2.5" SSD mounting bays going to waste in just about every PC case on the market, but no - this set of fans requires a completely arbitrary block of plastic that doesn't fit in any bay and needs to dangle loosely by the rat's nest of cabling, or get stuck to the back of the motherboard tray with the included adhesive pad that's good for typically 3-6 weeks of adhesion.

Why does that software look like it was developed in 2010 - with 2010-type Bugs/UI issues?
It looks great to me; yes, the title bar looks like Vista's old black theme but it's refreshingly simple and clear. There's no valid reason why most of the other ARGB software suites are such a bloated mess - they literally have only two jobs:
  1. Fan speed
  2. Lighting control
Such a simple pair of tasks shouldn't need a 1.2GB install with account creation, telemetry, promotions, other "value-add features" (marketing BS, basically), and so much feature creep that even Microsoft or Adobe would feel outdone. Also, CAM, Synapse, and iCUE are hardly good examples of bug-free, stable operation.
