After finishing the main story of "Rise of the Tomb Raider", I'm playing the "Baba Yaga" DLC.

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
well, still playing it ... and the recent update and event are good, play it on major update so i "only" have 333hrs. but i might rack on some more, still find the game mighty fun and interesting

Xmas update look damn gorgeous

ooohh that's sooooo darn cute...

aherm... the new battle pass weapon is fun

description is hilarious ... the joke about "holding and firing a bunny" to explain the name (Voltia is Bunny's family name ) i confess i laughed hard reading that part ...

the new companion is mighty fine and the reduced price, for the special look and gear (seriously, a beret? TOTAL badassery! ) is reduced enough, sooooo, "Who's a good boy!!! yes you are!"
(or girl ... didn't check)

yep, for once Nexon did not disappoint me ... enough to warrant the dog buy but i will be farming the new ult Sharen and some enhancement mats for the dog (basically dogfood :D ) later

those graphics are fucking stunning, i don't remember the game looking this good, are you using a mod or something?

are you playing on pc game pass? or steam?
I'm playing it on Steam. Sadly, there are few mods available for this game. I've a few settings turned higher than @W1zzard 's review of this. My ancient Vega 64 still allows me to change the antialiasing to SSAA so it looks better than the default SMAA.

Finished TLoU Part 1. Think this is the best story-wise I play this year, I don't play much games though. Some of the most apparent bug is pictured below, when this happens some texture turns black, floor, blood, hair, arrow. It's very annoying. From what I read it's because of the GPU ran out of VRAM, even 8GB isn't enough for this game with lowered settings. I been lowering setting but it still occur once in a while. Usually needs to change some setting for it to go away (even reboot won't change it). Apart from that, game runs well performance wise, no crashing and weird frametime even on HDD.

First go at AC Odyssey I spent too much time in the starting area and then got locked into a naval introduction battle that saved poorly and proved limiting to further progress. Much funner this go round.

Because it does not give you a gun and plenty of bullets, it makes Indi vulnerable, but still daring and heroic staying true to the source material.

Overall, an actual adventure game. Better experience than the Dial of Destiny movie that for me as a fan was a disappointment.

I warmly recommend a break from soul hack&slash and shooters, to play something made with great care. From the in-menu options, cutscenes transition, even the way it transitions when you start the game and hit "continue".
The Great Circle has a very good performance, it's high-quality gaming at it's finest.

Currently reduced to a 5600X and a GTX 970 so I'm taking this opportunity to play through the Persona games I have on Steam as they are easy to run. Starting with Persona 3 Reload, so far I'm enjoying it a lot....

Nothing much lately, except usual Genshin Impact and some hotseat Civilization IV BtS with a friend.
No LAN network for the time being, so good old hotseat it is. We wasted countless hours playing Civ4 hotseat, with some alchohol & weed, two or more friends. It's probably the most played and everlasting game in my backlog.

On chapter 3 of Like a dragon infinite wealth, finished Erased his name with my partner on Saturday and then started Infinite wealth immediately.
So far the updates from 7 to 8 is quite nice, the combat is a lot more refined with a bit more flexibility to placing the characters. It kind of reminded me of Breath of Fire 5 on Ps2.

still atleast 20-25% or maybe even more faster than my 1050 ti but those 3.5GB VRAM though
mine can can handle some well optimized newer games at 1080p low medium with 30-40fps and even moderately demanding ones at 30-35fps so you should probably get around 50-60fps, don't flame me though there are plenty of games in last couple of years which run terrible even on a 980 ti but i am talking the one that are perform reasonably despite the dated hardware.

The 970 is about 45 to 50% faster than the 1050 Ti.

Honestly, I've got that many older games in my steam backlog that its not an issue temporarily, it still plays plenty :) But yes, I did have a 3080 Ti so it's a little bit different :) New setup early next year though and I can't wait.

Yakuza 0 is proving to be a tough shift backwards for the reason you mention. LaD: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will probably push it further into the backlog.

Spending a few days refining settings on everything installed currently. More accurately, hours installing and listening to my fans run full blast building shader caches with 15 minute intervals running a game.

Replaying Crysis 1 right now. It's still an amazing game graphics wise even 7 years later.
Crysis was definitely a game changer in the industry... It looked absolutely amazing and blew everything away for many years! It even took several generations of hardware to run that game at just 1080p @ Very High settings because of how ahead of its time it was!
I remember having an Intel Core 2 QX6850 Extreme (Quad-Core @ 3GHz) with an ASUS 8800 512 GTS TOP and was struggling to run it at just 1024x768 at max settings on my 17" CRT lol

What a fun the game that was though! One of the best gaming experience (graphics, physics, sounds, gameplay, etc.). It definitely redefined video games, just like the Half-Life series did (also ahead of their time).

Project Wingman Frontline 59 DLC. Replaying it in VR.

Then I will probably play Space Marine 2 DLC over the next few days, I think they added two more Operations (single player/co-op missions).
