What are you playing?

I already gone over the combat, but relaxing? Low intensity? Or do you mean like how you play, ie just clickinf around at your own pace? Because the story, design and world is really rather intense, which is why it works. But it's not something I have ever played to relax.

- For combat I mean that it is not twitch based, so there is no rush to complete anything. Even then the game very rarely has hard fail states, often times losing a random encounter is a temporary setback and the story keeps progressing forward. There are a few fights that are win/lose, but they tend to be more obvious.

As soon as you figure out that enemy health is also enemy strength (damage), and that there is no initiative in combat, sides just alternate turns, the whole thing becomes radically simple. You just want to damage enemies until their strength is as low as you can get it, but not kill them (so they remain a turn and waste the computer's time). Once all or most enemies are badly damaged, you then go through and begin culling.

From the general game vibes, much of the game is spent watching your caravan travel from beautiful locale to beautiful locale (a la the Oregon Trail). Everything is hand drawn and it's just a visual and auditory treat.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 with mods.. lol The Modding community has made it playable. So, far it's good but the mechanics feel out dated. I'm also playing Metro Awakening and Batman on Quest 3. I was playing Once Human but I think it's ran it's course for me. Now it's just to repetitive.

Yeah that's what I mean. It's usually too simple but sometimes you get into like bossfights who do tons of damage and in either case they are too long and too numerous. I got to a point when I knew there was a big fighr coming up and I quit because I was so sick of it. But yeah I love everything else about the game, it is masterful, but I dislike the combat so much I just can't go on. This summer I started again and wanted to really finish it but a few combats later I remembered that they'll get slower and longer as the game goes on and I couldn't stomach it.

- Worth noting that each game is ~10 hours long tops, so depending on where you are it might make sense to push through to the end.

Trying to play Crusader Kings 3, first watched some youtubers, then played the tutorial, and after that I played the character creation for 2 hours. This game has a ton of options, and mod support too. But first I need to read a lot more b4 playing.

It's 100% true, I ended up quitting that game fairly early on. You have to be ready to read a novel's worth of stuff. Someday, I will give it a proper go, but I can't be asked to read that much right now. Just too tired after walking the dog twice a day + work, etc.

CK2 is a little more beginner friendly, and IMHO is a better game. I would recommend at least one (short) playthrough of CK2 before moving on to CK3. It is also free.

Yes, it's the original. Do you mean HL2 Update?
i claimed HL2 when it was free recently and thought that was the upgraded version but not the case, i might download that mod though it's impressive

Benchmark Scores They run Crysis
Final Fantasy III (3d remake) on PC. Some dungeons are hella annoying especially when you have no revive items.
