Speed % is not supported. "Great" job. Again you can't limit the RPM to reasonable levels. At least the spikes when going out of idle are very subtle. Everything will depend on the fans though. For example, my Dark Rock Pro 4 is horrible regarding the starting noise because of some clicking/scratching sound.

The fans are not a problem. It doesn't matter if they keep coming on while idle. I personally prefer for fans not to shot off at all regardless of load state. 25% minimum is my preference.

Unfortunately ASRock support confirmed to me that this model comes with sleeve bearing fans. I would prefer not to buy it for that reason, even though it wouldn't be an issue for a few years.

I also have one question: Does this model have an identical max power limit as the reference B580? (228W)

I will buy it, even with caveats I've mentioned elsewhere as it's both a good and interesting product. I'd already have one ordered if I could find one at MSRP, but I can wait.

From a technical standpoint, avoiding unnecessary starting and stopping would be ideal. Fan bearings experience the most friction when starting up from idle since static friction > kinetic friction. Temperatures are great on this card, so there's no reason why the fan should start and stop on ~20-30s intervals. Hopefully it can be addressed with a BIOS or driver update for the card in the future.

Regarding the problems during overclocking:
The crashes that occur from changing the voltage slider are very likely a result of the frequency change that comes along with it. The card tries to follow a predefined voltage/frequency curve, that is also visible when using the "Advanced" tab in the GPU Tuning section. For example, my card reports a core clock of 2850MHz and about 1.015V GPU voltage while running Unigine Heaven with stock settings. That clock jumps up to 3000MHz (+150MHz) when changing the voltage slider to 25% while the GPU Voltage changes to 1.045V (30mV). This behavior is very counterintuitive because you wouldn't expect the frequency to change that drastically when only the voltage slider is changed.

Me. But definitely not B580. I want an actual upgrade over my 6700 XT. So either the best Battlemage GPU or some Celestial GPU if all Battlemage ones fail to beat 3090 by at least 15%. I am not in a hurry by any mean so Celestial will definitely do.

Might get a B300 series GPU if ever to be released for a "just in case" GPU.

I always find it odd these lower end gpu's get put to 4 or 8 lanes, when the target marker (people on budget) are going to have older systems, find it a very weird assumption everyone buying it is on a current or one gen old board. Still hopefully TPU test gen 3 at some point like they done on other gpu's. If its poor its a lost sale for intel, I am ok buying my friend a new gpu, but not an entire new system.

My gut guess is it will have minimal loss, but just would be nice to know before buying.

I'm eagerly awaiting their B7 series. The A380 I have wants a bigger brother.
The B7 series should work fine for my 1440p use case

I guess it will lose at worst 5% performance, maybe less, it's just a mid range card. Important is that the system has Rebar, so if it has rebar, then there's no big issues. You can really look up other tests made with similar video cards or stronger ones, it's enough to be pretty sure without exactly this card being tested.

Also do you perform the Coil Whine test? I think its gonna be very important today, knowing how companies like ASUS ignores it, and u have stuff like 4090 Strix that whistles across 3 streets.
