Fair enough. Coming back to my MX Master 2S, it's probably the perfect mouse by my definition - another reason why I don't consider it expensive at all.

Some basic Corsair something-something that I got for free for a more expensive hardware purchase ages ago.

It's not bad, but it's badly faded by now.

I like the look of this mouse because it looks like a copy of the G502 Proteus Core/Hero. It wouldnt surprise me if the differences were just the cosmetics and the data chip inside that tells windows what it is when you plug it in.

Not sure, looking at it they are very similar looking mouses with very small cosmetic differences. Someone would have to make a comparison video for sure tbh.

I have numerous mice - they call them mouses down here - breeding in a drawer and I use this Corsair Iron Claw with my gaming laptop. The battery life is excellent and it's a good fit too.

Had the Ironclaw but mine got the apparently typical problem of mouse wheel dying. While it was going through an RMA, there was a good deal on Dark Core RGB Pro SE and went for that one.
The SE bit is important as it has Qi charging that seemed awesome for a wireless mouse. It kind of is but took a while to get used to positioning it right on the charging pad

It's been over 3 years now so while it is dusty and dirty the surfaces have also started to wear off significantly now.

Speaking of wired and wireless mouses.. I've always been a person who uses wired. Never did like keeping track of the USB dongles wireless mouses use (or at least some use, I haven't used a wireless mouse in the last 8 years so I actually wouldnt know.)

The dark core is basically a little nightsword, minus the weights and like 2 buttons. Pretty good mouse. (Probably has a better sensor, too)

Full sized ones that are for specific mice obviously have a limited model range, but Xraypad does sell Obsidian and Jade dots and donuts that are universal. Just as well, IMO, those are often superior to full sized ones. As a note, Obsidians are control skates and Jades are speed. I assume the guys is using Obsidians to get a little more stopping power on his Wallhack.

Wireless mice have been good for the last... 20 years? Logitech's MX1000 I think was the first one that did not make any compromises from being wireless and tech has only improved from then on. Oh, wireless does bring one downside that is significant but somewhat depends on your preference - weight, due to the battery. I prefer larger and heavier mice anyway so that never was a deal breaker personally.

Dongles is a strange point in my opinion. There is a mobile gaming that does get affected but generally for anything mobile it is better to use BT for convenience sake - and to be fair, BT today is quite capable for gaming as well - and for a desktop how often do you remove the dongle anyhow? Enough mice these days seem to have both proprietary RF dongle as well as capability for BT connection so kind of best from both worlds.

And although that has more to do with habits and desk setup - coming from a wireless mouse the cord on wired mice always seems to be a hassle

You're right! Its sensitivity is just insane. I need some stopping power cause otherwise it's all over the place. I was indeed thinking of the universal ones. They are definitely a better option. Perhaps in the future when I'm switching to a new mouse, but for now it's okay..

I'm on the wireless side of the argument. I don't like dragging dangling cables with me every time I turn my head in a game. Wireless provides so much freedom!

MX 2 & 3 Masters, the oldest of which is coming up on 6 years....

I don't do tails nor padz, and they fit my hands perfectly while providing all the functions I need, especially being rechargeable, so not batbats to worry about having to change either

I have many mice boxed up and stored in the closet after many trials. For the last 4 years, the Coolermaster Sentinel (pictured) has been my gaming mouse. It is insanely comfortable for my hands, which is my most critical factor. It also can easily set 3 programmed dpi quickly and the clicks are very satisfying. I like it so much I have a spare ready to go when this one dies (not manufactured anymore).

Heh, I just use the stock DPI in every mouse. I'll only decrease it on the fly if I play something where I'm using a sniper rifle and need to aim properly.

Yeah, I'd say mine just stays on 1 setting 99% of the time, as well.

I'm so lazy that I haven't even installed the Logitech software in ages, the stock Windows DPI just works for me.

I leave mine set at 4000 dpi most of the time. I've always used my wrist to move the mouse and drop ring and pinky fingers for drag/counter force to make small adjustments for sniping and the like.
