If next Gen Radeon can perform better than 7900xtx, that's my choice. Otherwise sticking with this.

I mean the PSU is absolute overkill IMO. I'm running on an 850W even with my 7900 pulling 360W I still have headroom, now granted my CPU isn't a high wattage part but I'm sure it could handle a 120W CPU

Pretty much this & to give more light on the PSU selection. I use Corsair RM1000x with the same card as the OP has in mind but with a 9900X in custom PBO setup & I've seen peaks in gaming up to 590W @ 3440x1440@165Hz but that's with the GPU running at default - that's the total power draw of the whole case as measured by a dedicated watt meter.

Yeah I have a wall meter and if I run the AIDA stress test full tilt it was pulling a bit over 600W

1. I would get another NVME drive. Better to have two than one
2. Don't know if it matters for Ryzen but personally I feel somehow uneasy about 24GB memory sticks (not a power of 2). I would get 2x32GB
3. Do you need optical drive? You may get external one and connect only when needed (in my case about every 5 years ). Internal was making noise for no reason from time to time and bothered me.
4. For that mouse I would get Logitech Powerplay mouse pad. I have 2 with G502 and like them. You never need to worry about your mouse charge.

In memory qvl for now didn't exist support of memories faster than DDR5 8200. Maybe after few newest bios versions. I think that chosen capacity of RAM is insufficient.

The x3d chips see no benefit (as far as I know) to memory over 6000MT/s, so going over that is usually pointless and often leads to trouble anyway, especially on 7000 series that you're starting with. So you're better off getting an expo kit that is 6000MT/s with the tightest timings possible.

The nzxt AIOs tend to perform well in early reviews, but I've seen a fair amount of complaints when it comes to quality control and reliability. Arctic is the only aio I'd buy unless I needed a thin radiator. Then I'd go with be quiet or whoever is most reliable lately. You might get one from nzxt that's totally fine though.

If you don't need the gen5 speeds, you can save a lot of money going with a Gen 4 drive (t500, sn850x, etc).

The power supply is fine, but you could go lower wattage and get a platinum for a little bit over that price (FSP Hydro Pro Ti 1000W for example).

I edited your list per my comments above. I put three m.2 drives in there just as options I like, not to suggest all three. I also put one of my favorite thermal pastes on there.

Thermalright are about the best Cooling for your CPU. The Aqua Elite version is usually nice and inexpensive. They also have little QOL points like Fans are preinstalled and installation on AM5 is a breeze.

Building next summer. Also 9950x3d confirmed for january.

If a cpu is a stand in for something even faster, i would go with an APU or an Ry5/Ry3 for price alone.

Yes about PSU and Gen 4, but i have money to burn. Also I love the rmx shift psu. By stand-in I mean I will change the list once 9950x3d comes out. I have not bought anything yet.

Was going to go 96gb 6800mt, but thought this might be good for speed. 8200mt ram is not too much cheaper, so I could just downclock this a bit.

The optical drive is a peace-of-mind, given that I've had several external ones physically break. If I went 32gb mem I would have to slow down significantly. Does my board have 2x Gen 5 slots? If so, I could get 2. Mousepad is good idea, PCPP doesn't have mousepads.

I had a 1200W almost that long before it started acting up, then a 1050W for about 5yrs at least before it got hinky(I'm not sure there is anything wrong with it but was the weakest link and old spec)I mean if you're gonna go overkill 1000W would be sufficient and well if you want that decade then get a Seasonic with a 10yr warranty to match

For PSUs I'd always go with quality over quantity. 1200W Gold? Rather get a smaller one from Seasonic with Platinum rating. So I fully agree with @INSTG8R on this one.

Not much I would do different if I was building a no holds rig, but there is a few details.

• 64 GB is starting to appear in requirements for optimal settings in games, so going with 48 GB seems wrong to me.
• A 4 TB NVME is nice, but for some tasks 2x2TB is better and it is cheaper as well. Also I would add a classic spinning hard drive for backup and storage should you need some, something like a 10 TB from say Western Digital could be a good choice.
• No speakers? Find a set of B&W MM-1 on ebay and you're golden (they are not made anymore, but are great).
• 1200 W PSU, that is overkill and then some. It likely means it won't be working at its optimum efficiency ie. drawing more power at the wall than needed and producing more heat than something more optimal.

And then there is the big question, the GPU. We are just a few months from seeing the next generation of GPU's, so investing now can turn out to be a mistake. If you must build now, then consider going a tier down and go with say a 7900 XT as it is easier on the wallet and still a fine card.

If you're building in January grab a RTX 50xx, other than that you won't be able to run that RAM speed, low latency 6000 MT kit will be better.

Ti rated ATX 3/3.1 PSU not that Gold 1200 W.

Also the $300 AIO is pointless.

$600 mobo and $300 AIO is easily $500 you could save to have a better GPU.

Only good Razer keyboards are the optical ones, but I would go with Wooting instead for HE.

The Superlight 2 is just a worse Viper V3 Pro.

I would also choose a 1000W Platinum PSU, not necessarily cheaper that that 1200W-Gold

1KW PSU it’s plenty for that system on all applications.

The system in my system specs is peaking at 600-620W with an avg of 490-510W while gaming.
And PSU is 750W.
That is PSU output at 93% efficiency.

Gaming
CPU: 90-110W avg (game depending)
GPU: 350-360W avg (382W limit)

By experience the 7900XTX’s optimal power/performance is below 400W (370-390W top). Mine can go up to 465W for a few %. Like +15-20% power for maybe +5% perf in best case. Not worth the heat.

Also since the actual build will be in months from now, you should also consider what RDNA4 and RTX5000 has to offer. We should know in about a month.

Even thinking about future upgrades, how much more power are we talking about?
X3D are not power hungry at gaming.

AIO doesn’t have to be too expensive to perform well.
Arctic Freezer III line with its simplicity is among top performers with 7 years warranty.
Voting for AFIII 360/420. All sizes come with rgb or not.
My AFII 420 which is slightly below the AFIII 360 can cool down a 200W CPU to <75C at 24C ambient air feed.

Also on DDR5 subject, personally I’m expecting Zen6 to be on AM5 platform and also I’m expecting for it to have significant upgrades related to I/O. If $$ is not an issue I would go right now or in 6 months, with a top X870E and 8000 with lowest possible timings.
Zen6 maybe will be able to run synced speeds beyond the 6000-6400.
But there is a chance that this is just wishful thinking on my behalf.
Although Zen5 has shown that further performance development requires better on socket sub-parts interconnection.

All this if future system upgrade is on plan.
Otherwise a 600 series board and DDR5 low latency 6000 can do the job just fine.
