Just built a new system using the above motherboard, but no matter which bios file I try ez flash says it isn't an uefi bios. I've run the renamer and tried without renaming the file, but neither method is working.

Not sure what I'm missing.

Edit: Fixed after more googling, put the file on a FAT32 flash drive and it worked. Apparently disabling secure boot works as well, flash drive was easier for me.

DO NOT try this at 4AM while loaded up on Nyquil and other cold meds.

That's weird because bios only reads and writes on the FAT32 file format.

the flash drive just stores file for bios to read the file from not run bios off of. I've been using it that way even with my old z87 board (4th gen haswell on also asus board.).

You probably formatted FAT32 many moons ago. Never has an Asus board flashed rom from NTFS and is explicitly stated so in the instructions to flash bios.

But hey, I could be wrong, I flash from the ntfs drive C: quite often enough.... so.... yeah there's that. :)

There's a wifi and non wifi version of the board, make sure you have the right one. I made the same mistake earlier today with my x670e tuf lol.
