I dont know if this is a scam (possibly) but Amazon is listing the XFX 7900 XTX for 599.

It is possible that your credit card is disabled for international or online purchases unless used with a virtual number generated by your bank app. It is a safety feature, especially appreciated if you have a card with a high spending limit. AFAIK both the Visa and Mastercard cards use this virtual number now, the exception is the American Express which does not have this functionality (at least mine does not).

Probably an error

Had it both ways , Amazon support is tops , cancelling a order is great even if shipped , order the wrong part , refund or order the right part ,no need to reship , if sold and shipped by Amazon , not so much from there sellers, I learn my lesson , have to wait some time a before refund or right part , with sold and shipped by Amazon , you pay a little more , it's worth it big time !

Bit more complicated than that, bank records show they did some activity, sort of like a tester to see if the bank account is legit I reckon.

Yeah that will happen. It is usually a charge of $0.00, or $1-5 or thereabouts that is instantly refunded.

My point is that like ebay if a seller doesn't respond in an appropriate amount of time, you get Amazon/Ebay involved, they will give you funds back and they will go after the vendor for funds, it's like insurance companies in a way, in turn that vendor gets bad marks against them, too many can get them permanently removed too.
