Hello good people of this forum. Yesterday my friend gifted me asus rx 580 strix 8gb gpu. He for some reason flashed it and after that it didnt want to output any video. After doing bit of research, i found bios on this forum for this card, did reflash and got it to work but with artefacts. Through research i found other people having same issues and and someone sent them bios on this forum and it worked after reflash. Could anyone, for the love of god help me find correct vbios for this card as im new to all of this. If any other info is needed, i will gladly update. Thanks!

You will need to remove the heatsink and get a picture of the white silk screen on a ram chip.

As request earlier by eidairaman1 you must remove the heatsink. We need to know which brand and part number is listed on the memory chips.
Also please make a picture of the back side of the PCB. We likely need to know which PCB part number is listed on the PCB.

Ok Samsung FC Ram

D000PIL

Should be enough

You are very fortunate, I found 2 files from 2019

Use this guide to flash- Use the amdvbflash 2.93 tool and Polaris 500 section.

Same result with both. I still get artefacts which points out probably to damaged hardware.

Have you switched ports and is this a different monitor from your friends?

Let me see if i can find a older bios that might resolve the issue

Well there are no other files. Can you ask your friend what was the reason he flashed the card?

I just tested with second monitor and i got the same result

Dont tell him you have artifacting, I want him to tell the truth.

Because if he clains he was having artifacting then the card developed a hardware fault somewhere before he flashed, if he was trying to get more performance out by flashing, sometimes placing the wrong bios on a card can cause hardware damage.

@erminthe13 i would suggest a rx6600xt at this rate, can be bought brand new in box untouched

I asked him about flashing as i know he is not in it and i couldnt underatand why he did this. Only thing he said is that he doesnt know why, he was curious and thinking it would be better with newer bios same like flashing new bios for motherboard.

Looks like there are multiple faultly memory chips/channels.

You can try to troubleshoot and disable memory chips/channels:

Your buddy FAFO and now the card is damaged. No one in their right mind flashes a gpu for no apparent reason, so it seems deceptive.

We tried.

Well that somewhat explains it, time go grab a rx 6600xt or a 6700 line, brand new in box.
