"AMD GPU" option becomes grayed out when selected

I recently built a PC with an i5-12400F and RX 6600. I downloaded ThrottleStop because I wanted to add my CPU and GPU temperatures to the taskbar like on my laptop. However, whenever I click on the "AMD GPU" box in the Options menu, it becomes grayed out. Is this a laptop-only feature, is it broken, or am I doing something wrong?

That is not true. All ThrottleStop programming has always been done while working on my desktop computer going back to the Core 2 Duo days. All versions of ThrottleStop have always worked on desktop computers. Intel desktop and mobile CPUs work exactly the same and often times are exactly the same. The desktop CPUs have a heat spreader over the cores and the mobile chips do not. Other than that, they are both the same.

The AMD GPU temperature monitoring code within ThrottleStop has been broken for a long time. I have not owned an AMD GPU since 2006. The ThrottleStop AMD GPU monitoring code that used to work has not been updated since then. I do not plan to update ThrottleStop to support AMD GPUs.

Try using Core Temp. It is a fairly light weight app. I think it can be used to display AMD GPU temperature data in the system tray / notification area.
