First AMD card that I bought, installed yesterday, did some testing. Temperatures seem a bit high for a 3 fan card, I expected better. Are these normal?

Room temperature: 22c, zero rpm off, advanced control disabled, max fan speed 100%, BAR enabled.

With a case panel:

Idle: 47-48c.

Stalker 2 - 94-98% load, 1797 max fan rpm: 78c max gpu temp, 98c hotspot.

Witcher 3 - 97-99% load, 1962 max fan rpm: 80c max gpu temp, 101c hotspot.

Without a case panel:

Idle: 46-47c.

Stalker 2 - 94-98% load, 1609 max fan rpm: 77c max gpu temp, 98c hotspot.

Witcher 3 - 94-98% load, 1684 max fan rpm: 78c max gpu temp, 99c hotspot.

We are lacking information. Is it the MERC, QICK or SWFT or even the reference model.
Please share exact part number.

Version 020.002.000.019.018099, I think it's the reference model.
That is not the part number on the graphics card. You shared a bios version number and that is not the same.

Safe max for Hotspot is 110.
Your delta is reasonable, so cooler contact doesn't indicate an issue. Did you buy it new?

Yes, fresh out of the shop. 3 year warranty. I'm still able to return it to the shop at the moment.

Another thing that was noticeable, one of the fans is making noise at around 1000 or more rpm's.

Looks a bit high for an AIB card, but still within acceptable parameters. My AMD reference card runs at similar temps, has been from day one.

That's what I thought when I first used my AMD reference 6750 XT. It's been running stable with those temps for more than 2 years now. :)

Honestly wouldn't worry about those temps, they seem fine.

Some AMD coolers are not as effective as "Saphire Vapor-X" for example, my brother with a 6700XT from gigabyte, 3 fans, gets basically the same temps.
He owns the card for about 2 years now and still pretty fine.

The high delta between core and hotspot is a common thing on AMD cards apparently, as some YT technicians explained, no reasonable to worry however.

Your temperatures are fine but if you want more efficiency you might underclock and undervolt your GPU:

Numbers from 2450 to 2560 are usually the sweet spot for RX 67x0 GPUs. As per the voltage, this might vary drastically: some GPUs can undervolt to 980, some can only go as low as 1170. You never know until try and test it.

You definitely will lose some performance thereafter but it's not gonna be drastic. Or, you might power your fans up if you don't mind some additional noise.

The shop is in EU, Lithuania by the way. By law it's 2 years minimum warranty and the shop gives it 36 months. From what I can see anyways.
Ok good, i cant find any feature data on the card from the xfx page, is the fan making a whirring noise or do you hear a rattle? Are there 'warranty void if removed' stickers on that card?

The cooler on this card the user has appears to be a reference style design.

The undervolting is a good option. Might be surprised to only take a tiny bump down to keep those temps within a "confidence" range.

The noise is somewhat similar to something like if you spin up a bicycle wheel and put your hand on the tire to stop it. So a whirring type noise, I suppose. There's a sticker on one of the screws. Cooler screws with springs, from what I can see.

I'm bringing it into the shop tomorrow for a potential replacement or money back, we'll see what they say.

Get the card swapped with another even if sapphire, powercolor, or an equivalent from the rx 7000 series.
