I got this 5950x today for a good price but the temps are pretty high. I don't know about the voltage. Any help will be helpful..

Voltage and power look fine for an all-core load. You might want to remount your cooler. Well, unless it’s properly mounted and you are just using something apocalyptically dogshit.

the cooler is 2yrs old but it sat in a box for 1yr and installed in a desktop for 1yr barely used at all. My friend said total run time maybe 1month.

Definitely a remount. Or, if the AIO is several years old, it might have gone bad as @freeagent implied. There is no universe in which a stock 5950X should thermal throttle under that.

The temps on this liquid cooler rise upto 90C pretty fast. Kinda like a laptop does.

I have some really thin TIM that acts like that. Terrible stuff.

I got the CPU installed, just waiting for thermals to normalize to room temp and then I will kick the tires and light the fires.

The temps on a stock 5950X should never rise up to 90C on a fucking 360mm AIO regardless of circumstance, fast or no. Something is not functioning like it should, be it a bad mount, something with TIM or the cooler itself being on its last legs. Again, remount with fresh TIM. If that doesn’t help - you need a new cooler, air or liquid.

I am right on that. I just ordered NT-H2.

I dont have much experience with desktops, all my experience is with laptops of all sizes and brands. My last desktop that I bought has an intel 5820k that I only had for 2 weeks.

I did 305w a couple of time by accident using a static OC.. that was intense. PC reboots at about 110c FYI..

This is crazy high for a 360 cooler. Did you remove the plastic film covering the CPU heatsink? Did you make sure all the screws were all the way down?

My friend said he did remove it. I will check when I get the thermal paste on Thursday. I dont want to tools to check atm.

Not core cycler stable.. but it is everything else stable.. good enough

It does boost to the full 5150, 5100, 5000, and then it tapers down on the second CCD.

Check and see if the pump is actually running on that AIO. If it is old it could have a bunch of air in the line which can also make the pump just not do anything.

The air comes from permeation, so if that is the case I would just write the cooler off, or open it up for some cleaning and fresh coolant.

I am 99.9% sure that if the pump was not running at all the CPU temp will rocket at 100+C in a few seconds.
I've tested this involuntarily when I first connected wrong my LF-II 420. Took about 20-30sec to go to 102C in BIOS.
Also the LF-III series is about 1 year old so its not old.

It could be running low speed though.

Something is not right.
Running at 112W 90C is not normal with this AIO even at 30C room. Actually the ~112W PPT is ~105W in reality as the PowerReportingDeviation sensor reports 106% (112 divided by 1.06 = 105.6)
The LF-III 360 is a very capable AIO and temperature shouldn't be near 80C under 150W PPT.

Done some testing about 20min ago with my 5900X with 200W PPT limit and 165A EDC limit.

This is LF-II 420 which is about the same with LF-III 360
Room temp is 22.5~23C, no case involved

I've highlighted some sensors

OCCT
197W, 1.2V, 4.55GHz constrained by the 165A limit (78C avg)

CPU-Z (stress test)
178W, 1.32V, 4.7GHz constrained again by the 165A limit (71C avg)

Have you checked at what speed the AIO is running and also how did you connect it to the board?
Didi you use the all in one cable or the individual option?

At 100% PWM fans should run at 1750~1800rpm and pump at ~2800rpm
Personally I use the all in one connection plugged to CPU_OPT fan header as its the only option for LF-II series.
