Dunno about that 9070xt only has 4096 shaders compared to 5376 on 5900xt. It'll be slower for sure.

You can already get 7900xt for 620 ish. I expect 9070xt will be cheaper, 550 ish !

Possibly 9070xt will over clock past 3ghz, though 7900xt can be tweaked a lot as well. RT on 9070xt probably better, but it's a rubbish feature anyway at these card level.

Like 5080, can't expect anything much as it doesn't have the hardware uplift.

You can't directly compare the amount of shaders between architectures. And what 5900 XT? The only card with that model I know is the GF FX 5900 XT from 2003.

I'm sure @eidairaman1 will be having a ton of fun with people bricking their cards trying to flash them to the XT lmao.... If this end's up being true.

That's what I think, too. The 7600 / XT separation only made sense due to a difference in VRAM and launch date, which we don't have here.

Well, actually, Navi 33 didn't come with a cut-down version, so who knows.

I'm guessing the price will be at most 100 usd different if this is the case... 499/599 with most the cost savings coming from worse memory and lower board cost.

Yeah it doesn't make sense to me maybe it's missed translation or something from the fact that they use the same die... That being said I can't imagine they'd need to cut down very many die unless they are doing it artificially on 4N because it's a very mature process node at this point and the die is only around 400mm2 still that's a big ass chip compared to a 9800X3D that cost less to make and they can sell them out at 480 usd. So it will be interesting.

On the other hand, it wouldn't be the first time that AMD has a cheaper card with the full chip. I still remember the budget king HD 4850 from 2008.

While true if you are a company what are you going to make more of.... lol. This is what's going to be the most interesting.... On the other hand vanilla 9000 isn't doing so well so they can divert some of that silicon is my guess.

Same problem that Nvidia has most the silicon is going to B100/200

Yeah, Amd seems like it's going to go with it's 5700XT gameplan... Hopefully after the delay they launch in a better state and imagine if they were 100 usd cheaper than the 5070 with the rumored performance... Isn't going to happen but we'd know AMD means business and they were tired of losing if they did lol...

As long as they are good and don't price them stupidly.... Although I'm not even sure what AMD would need to price them at if the rumored performance is accurate we know the 5070 is at best 5% faster than the 4070 super and that might be generous and come with less Vram than the 9070 series so if this is 15-20% faster and comes with 33% more vram I think they could go 650 usd and it might go ok but I do think they need enough clearance from the 5070ti even if this beats it slightly in raster and is only 10-15% slower in RT.

I wonder after months of AMD fans hoping for a 500 usd 4080 though if there will still be disappointment.

RTX 5070 and Ti will be expensive at least in first few months the same as RTX 5080 junk (1700€)

For RX 9070 XT the biggest competitor probably will be RX 7900 XT (602€) and RX 7900 XTX (827€) RTX 4080 Super also is overpriced junk (1138€)

AMD prices are dropping while nvidia prices are stagnating or slightly increasing.

The gpu situation on the other hand sucks If I was in that 600-800 bracket I wouldn't be feeling too good right now lol. How many PC builds I do yearly says it all. It use to be 3-5 per month now it's 5-10 per year lol. It's probably a good thing people are keeping their hardware longer though and other factors like the cost of being alive are a major factor.

Flashing really died off after navi 1 honestly, then again it is possible my guide along with @Regeneration and @Solaris17 might be helping some not bork their cards as often.

We won't know until it is out, iirc models being cut down has been going on since the first pcie gpus came around in 2004...
