New expansion released today called Aetherdrift, I kind of like some of the mechanics like "exhaust" which is a boost in a car theme. meh

Is it playable when patched? Never played it though. I just know its humor value due its (not so good) legendary status.

The remaster is a few days away from making it finally playable. I think the real story is whether they added any of the suspected unfinished content or went even further.

I had GTA III for my PC, got it when my best PC was an Athlon T-bird 900 MHz.
I lost it during a move.

I've finished this once and that was on PC. There's just more nostalgia when playing with PS2 ^_^

The aiming is the only thing I can complain, otherwise the game has aged hella fine. Actually even the graphics look fine for a 2001 game!

Last time I tried playing Crysis (the OG) on my PC, it was not pleasant. Crashed randomly way too much.
Now playing Crysis Remastered, and maaaaan it still looks amazing. And stable as heck, ultrawide resolution and all.

Crysis is an underrated game IMO, feels that everyone dissed it as it was hella demanding back in the day. Always likes it myself, one of the best SP FPS games IMO,

Yep, that T-bird-era game, looked stunning! Of course, it was also still the days of CRTs!

Except for maybe some offices, only laptops had LCDs, LOL!

Tbird is still my favourite AMD core ever

I can't help but I'm laughing my ass of with GTA3, I just steal every taxi and drive myself instead of paying the driver. Heey, self service...

edit: I have to admit that I had to use a cheat. "drop in the ocean" mission just sucks and had to cheat the cops away :/

What do you think GTA VI will be like? Will I be forced to splurge on a video card?!

I suspect I need at least a Radeon RX 9070 or a Radeon RX 7800 XT, if going back to the team red!
Or if Intel, an Arc B770, but only if Intel decides to have such.

So, it looks like team red with the above mentioned, or I get at least a GeForce RTX 4070 or 'RTX 5060, I suspect. Or 'RTX 5070 of course.

If I don't die or become disabled literally, then I could very well splurge on brand new graphics that will cost more than Arc A770, likely. Unless somehow, I could find something good for the same price or around there!

I feel behind enough that even a Radeon RX 7700 XT, could very well be an upgrade!

- Ehhhhh it was certainly very pretty but the vs. humans levels kinda sucked. You'd shoot someone and suddenly the whole ass map would immediately know where you are and start blasting.

No lines of sight, they would all see you through the foliage and immediateoy start hitscan blasting you while you couldnt see shit. For an advanced nanosuit wearing badass you died really quick too.

Basically was a game of get into a building where you had actual cover, shoot a guy, then wait for everyone to funnel in through the door so you didn't get overwhelmed.

I actually liked the alien portion of the game way more, because it felt like a more action forward shooter where you could see the enemy, dodge their projectile weapons, while firing back. For some reason that part of the game was maligned by a lot of people at the time.

Wait, wut? Never felt that enemies arrive out of everywhere without a reason and I always play that at Delta difficulty. I just mostly hide in the bushes and snap the soldiers one by one with silencer on.

What do you think GTA VI will be like?
A crappy DLC of GTA V :D

I honestly ain't getting it until it costs 30EUR in sale.

edit: I'll also be getting a 9070 as a birthday gift to myself. My current 3080 kinda is fine but the 10GB VRAM sucks nuts.

- *Shrug* Played through both OG Crysis and Warhead (not the "remaster") pretty recently, around 2021 or so, and it was my general experience when playing the game.

I mean, it didn't always happen because the level design was pretty constricted, but any wide open area with a lot of troops like the early levels was just teeth-grindinglt frustrating to get through.

Different strokes and all that I guess.

The camera angles on moving blocks also threw me. Talking of which, when Lara has to throw blocks, you need to turn v-sync on otherwise they fly everywhere but the target.

Hitman 2 SA has so many awesome missions... the atmosphere in them too. Its really like you're starring in Mission Impossible or a 007, especially if you avoid gunplay and keep it creative; and when you then do have to escalate to full automatic, its just another scene in one of those movies too.
The whole game is a special gem but the Japanese castle level takes the cake for me. Nothing like walking on creaky wooden floors in the dark, thinking you have the jump on your targets and then a ninja freaking jumps on you. Yeah, I jumped myself in my chair. :twitch:

The ambushes in that game by a certain character in the later levels are also excellently constructed. You WILL get surprised on your first playthrough.

For Automation, I suggest you try the latest Al-Rilma open alpha. (Select openbeta in Steam)

Major flow calculation overhaul in the latest Al-Rilma patch! IIRC, Ellisbury will choke off the flow and make things seem off.

The latest alpha, also fixed the broken texture bug for the differentials. (Affects Al-Rilma before patch 4)

Automation + Beam NG is the best by far, looks like I won't go back! Still works very well, even when I think my graphics will struggle, compared to GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super!

In Cyperpunk 2077, I need XeSS to not have the FPS low, even with raster-only-mode. Then I can do 40 FPS with ray tracing.

For your cars, better back them up, before changing the build. I think the engines will be fundamentally incompatible with engines made with Ellisbury!

The latest Al-Rilma patch, was just this February! I felt like it was a huge present! It was very broken during the very-early Al-Rilma open alpha, which debuted in December, 2024.
Thank you, @RJARRRPCGP !
That made indeed a change for the better. Tried to make a GT-R clone as most likely Nissan will no longer (be able to) make them

Map is American road, which has pretty much everything, including a massive circuit for testing max speed limits.

Did the update crash physics for Automation imports? I know back in the day the would just go spiky instead of taking damage like vanilla Beam.NG cars.

No crashes other than me failing horrible at braking.
Some of the meshes don't seem to load, though. Concrete barriers in the "West Coast" map, and also my chrome distrubution cover

Edit: just tested again, and all meshes are loading again.. so idk, everthing works I guess.
