No crashes other than me failing horrible at braking.
Some of the meshes don't seem to load, though. Concrete barriers in the "West Coast" map, and also my chrome distrubution cover

Edit: just tested again, and all meshes are loading again.. so idk, everthing works I guess.
Beg pardon, I should have said collision damage not crashing.

The last time I looked at it, Automation cars didn't import interiors properly and didn't deform on impact properly. And they certainly didn't take incremental damage to the mechanical parts like vanilla cars did.

Ah yes, no, collision damage is still aweful on import cars. It does take a bit more bumps to wreck wheel allignment, and quite a bit more to rip the engine.
As for interiors, I'm still working on that. I remember from vanilla automation it was a pita, I haven't managed (dredded) it in this version.

Worthwhile for anyone desiring a general sense of how game world and combat play out in this engine.

First two are max settings 4K 8xAA cutscenes. Last is max settings 4K 16xAA in game screenshot (not final build).

I just noticed you have landed with the colonial marines or with the nostromo ? Putting points into vats i found important, um it's been a while i followed the BOTS campaign till the end. Sneek and Persuasion
and lock picking were my favorites :) Which armory was better, Laser or Projectile Kinetic weapons, just try it out they both have goods and bads. Like a shotgun has 1 round at a time intense impact but a Laser depending on your weapons level is faster and less impact ... uno ?

Were you using a monocoque chassis recently? Were you using a steel monocoque?

Doing a 2nd "low intelligence"(dumb) playthrough. It's really funny!
I have the Epic version of that Game and it keeps crashing on me. It is pretty good for what it is.

Nothing recent about me and Automation/Beam. It's why I was asking.

IIRC it didn't even import the chassis, just the bodyshell and driveline. Put in a few struts to make the bodyshell stay around said driveline.

Weird. I have the GOG version, it has no issues.

Something's up with that specific version apparently. I too have the game on Epic, and it's fine, but it's not the Spacers Choice edition, just the base game and the DLC.

Automation came a long way! Almost every single gadget imports into Beam NG now.

Fallout New Vegas, completely unmodded [alternate] version, becaues that is apparently the only way to play this game without it being buggy as shit*. And I have a question for people: Am I the only one who can play old games (2010 this was released) and still just come to places that makes me think "man this game is really beautiful"? Some time ago I also started on Dragon Age: Origins and that too looks great to me. Knights of the old Republic too! When we get back to like the original Jedi Knight things get a bit harder, but surely I'm not the only one.

*I played [alternate] versions fairly close to release as well and had none of the catastrophically buggy experience others had, it is only now I have had bugs in that game

In Halo CE 1.0.10, the Longsword nukes are an LOL fest. People were goofing off one day in one of my 2019 Halo CE videos. It was on June 1, IIRC.

- I've been sleeping on Mad Max for a while, I should give it a go after I wrap up Rise of The Tomb Raider.

Feels like it'd be a lot of Third Person games in a row though, so maybe I'll break it up with something else before jumping in.

Mad Max is good. In some ways it is like a 3rd person version of Red Faction Guerrilla. I might jump into that now that I think about it. I finally beat the last Boss in Division 2 and now some other Rebel Group has taken over some of my settlements but I am pretty sated of that Game for now.

So you just mentioned 2 legendary games, and ofc there are perfectly viable reasons for F:NV being the best fallout, and DA:O being the only good DA game.

And it's not just about them having interesting game mechanics, quests, good story, beautiful graphics, effects and atmosphere, it's about using each of those to deliver a complete package. What makes a good game, and what many people forgot, nowadays, when "gamers" are praising a "game" that only has one of those elements, and none of the others.

The last newer (2015) game I've played, and I may say it's a masterpiece without any doubt, is the Witcher 3. Such quality level, being the AAA title, we won't see ever again.

And as one man said, nowadays, the prices for an AAA titles and an Indie titles should be inverted. The AAA studios are just the corpo tool, and the best devs are escaping that environment by going indie. The ones that stay and put up with the corpo BS are wasting their talents, being spineless. You need to be ready and aware when it's time to quit your damn job!

Art direction is a huge part of games to be sure (just look at The Longest Dark and Disco Elysium for great examples), but I'm speaking specifically about graphics. I see a lot of people who claim they can't play old games because they look so "bad", I've seen that about Dragon Age: Origins even...

To be honest the only place that holds true en masse were first generation PS1 Games. Games that existed before all of this like Division 2 look absolutely stunning at 4K mini LED.

Spend a couple of hours or so modifying music for Gran Turismo 2 A-spec mods, the modder change the racing music to their liking, the music they put is awful IMO spoiling the nostalgic value for me. So what I did is scour online for any guide and do the mod myself to restore back the music. Long story short I did it, need to extract the MUSIC.DAT and convert to XA format, find the 6 racing music (it's the top 6) and replace it back. Now I can really play this mod in peace

Because this game is modded, loading stock game save give some lulz. Civic SI gave 1086hp? Sign me up

And it's not just pure number, it totally annihilate other car:rockout: I need to change the gear ratio, most importantly final drive from 4.4 to 3.6 to get such speed.

Of course I'm not gonna use this crazy car like this, the purpose of this mod is spec up the car like real life counterparts as the game gives more on some (like 600-700hp for supposedly GT500 car that have max 500hp)

Well there is an era of butt ugly games especially in the early 3D and pre-3D days, and the days directly after. While some defined the genre for a long time, others were really just... well, hideous. And the early 3D day games also had a recurring struggle with the camera controls. Oh man. So many just straight up failed at that. It really took some years before there was a kind of consensus on how camera needs to behave, for example in 3D Isometric games, but also in third person. Clipping issues were all over the place. Or you would scroll straight into a hilly terrain. Or camera height wouldn't adjust back. etc.

I tried to play TES: Daggerfall.

Couldn't do it. Anything with worse graphics than RTC Wolfenstein I struggle with. Probably because Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was what got me into PC gaming to start with, back when I could be bothered to play MP.
