intel cpu 12400f,13100f,13400f,14100f,14400f +mb + high speed ram, something around 7000 mhz cl 34, something fast

On a low budget mb, what is the best option for making it work, i wanna try it, use it everyday

I have pleanty i can sell so it won't cost me anything.

I have heard 14 gen should be good at running with high speed ram

You could say i wanna try fast ram because some say lows in games will be higher but also to eliminate slow ram as bottleneck

None of those will run "high speed". 6400mt/s at best.

Locked system agent is the issue.

12400F is the only cpu from your list that will BCLK overclock also. And would need an appropriate board to do so.

I believe those are all 12th gen AlderLake CPUs and with the System Agent voltage locked to 1.1, you are lucky to reach 6400 MT/s.

I bought something but i bought the wrong mb ddr 4 support (ASRock Z690 PG Riptide) not from the cheapest place since i wanted to buy it today, just forgot to look if that mb had support for ddr 4 or ddr 5

pci e scalling is not that big from 5.0 to 4.0 x16 but it supports 5.0 x16 for a gpu (atm i don't need more than i have) and bios flashback

cpu i wanna try a 14 gen and a fairly cheap cpu to experience how it would be having a 4/8 cpu with fast ram, there is very few 12,13 and 14 gen cpus for sale (have tried a 12100f, i expect a 14100f have improvement over a 12100f not just higher mhz)

Seen video where ddr 5 is alot better than ddr 4 with a 12-14 gen intel so i don't think i would go that extreme an use ddr 4 again

DDR5 is only better if you have a beefy card and play at lower resolution like 1080. Otherwise you won't notice the difference.

Check out any of the memory reviews. I included the highest frequency DDR4 and arguably top tier DDR4 3600.

With a 4090 it does sit at the bottom of the charts, but remember it is a 4090. Increase the resolution and generally speaking, the GPU is the main bottleneck now.

None of those processors will go 4400 ddr4. That's way over purchase.

I would swap the board for a ddr5 and go that route. Keep the 12400F and you will see the performance gains fairly easily. Then you aim for 6000mt/s (3000mhz) with decent timings.

And if your Z series board OCs BCLK, all the better. I found the 12400F capable of 4.6ghz sustain just on the stock cooler. So totally worth it.

12400f might be faster but also a little more expensive + z mb, my original plan was a z mb that support ddr 5 and they are expensive, from close to 200 euros and up (there isn't many used 12-14 gen cpus so to get a good or juster fast cpu requires me to wait for one to show up)

It does perform good against a 12400f and a i7 9700k/10700k

0.1% lows are here really good for the little i3

Well, you pay for the OC ability of 12th gen. Ddr4 or 5, doesn't matter. I maxed my 12400F at around 5.6ghz and it was pretty stable at 5ghz on a water loop.

But here is GeekBench 5 to example. They are about 100mhz difference clock speeds. If the 14100F had 2 more cores, the multi-core score would be close as well.

I have other screen shots to compare with cpu benchmarks. Concerning CPU, not GPU. You look like the search is on for a bottle neck. They are too similar to find it easily.

I can always save the part i have bought and make a small pc out of it and go back to my current setup

would be fun spending a couple of days searching for a part to add to a pc or just wait for used k cpu, im surprised there ain't more used

F4-4400C18D-32GVK is in the qvl list i think it's cl 19 or 4000mhz cl 18

what memory would you recommend, 4400,4600mhz isn't to expensive and i think both can run at 4000mhz cl 18 if they can't run at native speed 4400 or 4600mhz

As I have written 12,13 and 14 gen used cpus are not that easy to find, im hoping for a 12700k for under 200 euros or a 12900k for 200 euros, a new 12900kf is just a little under 335 euros and was released in 2021
