That is both unfortunate and sad. I grew up in a Catholic family and was wisely taught to always treat all people, regardless of color, appearance or nationality, with dignity, equal consideration, kindness and respect. I've never understood racism. Humans being racist to each other is like hating a cat or dog based on it's hair color or breed type. It's understandable to have a preference, but to hate outright? Makes zero sense to me. For example, I'm not a dog person. But I'm still friendly to them whenever I cross paths with them. Likewise I always treat all people the same way, with friendly respect.Historically. Catholics werent that friendly with people of colour let's just say. Some of them probably still arent.
Ok, I'll get off my soapbox..
