I have this issue that if I set EXPO speeds in the bios it will set them succesfully and won't blue screen when booting or any other problems like that however if I restart my pc instead of shutting down and booting in the ram will reset back to 4800mhz it won't do this all the time when i restart but its often enough where it becomes an annoyance. I've research this issue and i've not seen anything similar happen anywhere else would it be faulty memory/motherboard?

Some folks will tell you that historically, more often than not. Corsair RAM hasnt ran so well with Ryzen setups. Have you tried updating your bios to the latest one?

I just updated to the latest non-beta bios version and now when I choose the expo profile in the motherboard settings it'll just stay at 4800mhz no matter what I do.

Take one module out and see what happens. Otherwise All i can say is that you should throw the corsair away and get a set of G.Skill which are well known to work with well with Ryzen systems.

You arent the only one to have issues with Corsair RAM on Ryzen setups and you wont be the last either.

FWIW I have that exact RAM in my system* and it works fine.

@Celstorto234 Have you changed anything else, like timings and such?

okay I've remove a stick and it seems to use the expo speeds now so perhaps a faulty memory channel?

and to answer your question all i've done is choose the expo profile and turn off auto driver installer in the motherboard settings.

I have an HDV board on one of my test benches. It's a weird one. High end in some ways, and extremely low end in other ways. I would clear cmos, then manually set the RAM.

Update to the newest BIOS if you haven't already
And replace cmos battery.

If it keeps doing it, I'd warranty the board first.
