At $50 under MSRP the 9070 begins to look really interesting. A suitable replacement for my 3060Ti for sure.

Oh and F ASSUS and their crack smoking prices! "Come pay us a premium so when you have an issue we can take a giant dump on you." No thanks, go away already! They are absolutely Black Listed for me.

Triple slot cards with dual slot brackets belong in a dumpster.
ASSUS products belong in a dumpster, either way, should be in a dumpster.

I've had nothing but problems with ASUS. I tell all of my clients to avoid them at all costs.
They used to be good but recently they are nothing but a brand name now.

Not much better than Gigabyte and at least Gigabyte doesn't charge a we are too cool tax. MSI, I have very little experience with honestly. I haven't bought there stuff since the late 90s when it was TRASH. I'd consider giving them another shot.

You sure about that? Pretty sure they do, you just have to look further up the stack. Same with MSI.

Perform on par with 5070, selling for the same price LOL.
Doesn't look like AMD wants to win marketshare, at least with the 9070 nonXT
More like faster in every metric and game, except for few very specific cases in highly Nvidia optimized games.

The biggest issue will be actual pricing, if there are $550 models it will sell really well, though for just $50 the 9070xt is an even better option.

Would have been great if the 9070 XT was added to the charts.

The true 'reference' models are very impressive efficiencywise! You lose 2% perf vs oc-models, but max powerdraw is 219W vs 242W on this Asus oc model.

It should gave cost 500usd msrp. It now has a bit better performance, a bit better efficiency, but dlss transformer is slightly better than fsr 4 and more widely available.

Too much hype for nothing, 4070 TI performance, 2-3 years late to the party = "you are fired". This GPU supposed to be under 400 usd, more like 399 usd maximum to be clear. AMD failed once again and if AMD do no change this "going with the flow" mentality then there is no hope for it.

I am waiting to hear the "RT doesn't matter" now that this card is 10% faster at RT than the competing 5070 and it has 4GB more Vmem.

Funny thing is I moved from AMD 6600XT to 5070TI. The first thing I wanted to test is ray tracing, and installed Cyberpunk 2077 & Dying Light 2 to test ray tracing and benchmark.

Afterwards felt very disappointed as I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about ray tracing.

I am way more impressed with DlSS 4 and image quality to be honest.

Ironically it really doesn't though, even without the RT improvements, both cards are highly competitive.
RT is just the cherry on top. Those that now still buy Nvidia for muh features will have seriously missed the memo this gen. Their loss.

They all do towards the top of the stack, that's how it works. Regardless, Gigabyte and Asus are both on my naughty list. Both have directly screwed me over with warranty and service. I provide feedback for such things in the only way companies listen. I don't buy their crap and encourage everyone I know and or deal with to do the same. I'm quickly running out of hardware manufacturers. If these companies don't start figuring their crap out, I guess eventually I will stop building PCs.

I just buy the cheapest, this time it was Palit. What's the point of buying some + 100$ - 200$ for the name when end of the day it does exactly the same job.

Brand loyalty is so dumb.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.... I mean performance within 1% of the 4070Ti?

I've been saying that 20 years ago, and people stil don't listen. ASUS was good in like 1995-1998. Everything after that was overpriced brand milking.

Afterwards felt very disappointed as I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about ray tracing.

I am way more impressed with DlSS 4 and image quality to be honest.
I keep feeling the same. Best thing in ray tracing games is probably global illumination. If it's implemented. When all they go for is shiny reflections of the puddles I want to puke and I'd rather use raster as it's more realistic. I tell people to go out in rain and see if their streets look like perfect mirrors. Real world doesn't look like all those "nice" RTX screenshots. Pukefest.

When ray tracing is used properly I don't mind, but 98% games just ruin it by abusing it.
