No driver issues, however I do have issue with flicker on OLED monitor:

But not sure if it's a driver, card or a screen. I know that OLEDs have VRR flicker but I didn't think to that extent and even when framerate is stable. I heard some others have issues with Gsync and HDR so maybe it's related and will be fixed, or it's just how the panel works, which would be bad.

My PG27AQDM i disabled FreeSync, since i always have stable FPS (120), it's better overhaul.

The card I ordered a month ago is somewhere over the rainbow. No clue, no communication, no updates on the order status.

Hopefully by the time you get it the rop/driver/connector issues are all sorted would suck to get one and have issues with it considering the price.

Same here. My 3080 is doing just fine. Only want a new GPU so I can make the jump to 4k with out much hassle or compromise. I can wait until availability is more consistent and prices come down.
My 3070Ti is still ripping it up in my kids rig, not a single complaint from him.

I wish I was that easy :)

My 4070Ti is ok. But I do play at 4K, and sometimes concessions have to be made.

But with certain feature sets, it really is kind of awesome... this 9900X really woke it up. AM4 is slow :)

That's the silver lining. Also considering I've been slaving away in an internship... timing at least fits

I remember when I bought my 4080 Super well passed any stock chaos upgrading from a gaming laptop, I was able to try a 7900xtx too. That was a pleasant time to build, Im sure the 50-series 90-series will be the same in a couple pf months when the news articles die down and the botting stops.

I am. Thinking you knew I had been on a dual 1440p display setup for my gaming system and switched back to 1080p displays because of scaling issues. I am quite happy with 1080p. I do want to have better resolution displays, thus the desire for 4k, but I'm not willing to jump through the currently hoops involved in the nonsense of this launch. 1080p is still an excellent resolution for gaming and everything else.

I want to get the new hotness, just not with all the rigmarole that currently goes with it. I can happily live without..

People hated it at $800+ at the sub 700 usd you got it for it was a no brainer. Don't forget it was going to be the 900 usd 4080 12G but even Nvidia though that was stupid lmao.

And you could probably sell it for the same price or msrp based on how the GPU economy is right now lol

I couldn't do that. This card has gamed for hundreds, if not thousands of hours, and even more thousands of hours folding. I think over a billion points on this GPU.

Still runs mint though, and its been overclocked the entire time.

Well installed the new drivers and had to roll back. Lower performance, over 200 points less in Port Royale and SpeedWay. I see the clocks all the time on my Gskill Wigidash and I noticed that card is not boosting the same as it was. On the OC around 100MHz less, from 3200 to 3100. Probably not noticable in games but still, installed older ones.

I'm hoping that the general availability of 5090s will improve by the summer because I'm building a new PC this summer.

They(NVidia) did recently say availability will be resolved soon. Who really knows though. Jensen said that performance was going to be much better than it turned out to be. Let's not hold our breath...

anyone here having driver problems ?
Just some weird flickering in control, and some odd behaviour when overclocking but that's gone in the latest driver.
this 9900X really woke it up.
No doubt, 9800X3D gave my 3080 new legs, let alone a beefier GPU like the 5080.

Tested another new driver that dropped today and the same as the last one, perfomance degradation compared to 572.42. Anybody else tested that before and after?

EDIT

Just checked nvidia forums thread on those drivers and I'm not the only one. Also it seems that since 572 many people have the same VRR flicker issue as I do so I hope they will fix both issues soon.
There goes "AMD drivers are bad, compared to Nvidia ones", no, they are both bad :D or rather both can have problems.

I think this latest driver was just a patch/fix-up release without any optimizations.

I will scoop a new GPU up this summer. I will wait for the chaos to settle.
it won't settle until the whole meme of the lineup gets released and compared to the competition, price and performance wise.

I'd probably (depends on what changes on pricing may occur) sit this year out with my 4090 and my son's 4080 super, been itching to get Neptune model if Colorful makes one on the 5090 (so far no news about it).

Latest driver crash fest on FFXVI, its on steam forums..also lowers the performance (a bit, obvious reasons Nvidia wants to upsell the RTX5000 series) on RTX 4000 series..

I have not seen any flickering or any issues thusfar however my monitor has dedicated G-Sync. My system uptime is now 3 days with OC on CPU RAM and GPU and have done a mix of editing and lots of gaming. The only crashes Ive had are in Valorant but I run the fps unlocked for 1.5ms latency and it stuffs up when I alt tab alot I figure it maybe because it keeps switching from 1kish fps to 500fps etc etc.
