No driver issues, however I do have issue with flicker on OLED monitor:
![]()
VRR Flicker when using Frame Generation
I recently changed my monitor and GPU. I've got an OLED Aorus FO32U2 240Hz and 5080. I know that OLED monitors in general are prone to VRR flicker with rapid changes in framerate or if there are frametime spikes but in my case problem happens only when using DLSS frame gen. I turned on monitor...www.techpowerup.com
But not sure if it's a driver, card or a screen. I know that OLEDs have VRR flicker but I didn't think to that extent and even when framerate is stable. I heard some others have issues with Gsync and HDR so maybe it's related and will be fixed, or it's just how the panel works, which would be bad.

Same here. My 3080 is doing just fine. Only want a new GPU so I can make the jump to 4k with out much hassle or compromise. I can wait until availability is more consistent and prices come down.I will scoop a new GPU up this summer. I will wait for the chaos to settle.

Hopefully by the time you get it the rop/driver/connector issues are all sorted would suck to get one and have issues with it considering the price.

I am. Thinking you knew I had been on a dual 1440p display setup for my gaming system and switched back to 1080p displays because of scaling issues. I am quite happy with 1080p. I do want to have better resolution displays, thus the desire for 4k, but I'm not willing to jump through the currently hoops involved in the nonsense of this launch. 1080p is still an excellent resolution for gaming and everything else.I wish I was that easy![]()

I got a smokin good deal on my 4070Ti, I grabbed it during an Amazon sale a couple of summers ago.I remember when I bought my 4080 Super well passed any stock chaos upgrading from a gaming laptop, I was able to try a 7900xtx too. That was a pleasant time to build, Im sure the 50-series 90-series will be the same in a couple pf months when the news articles die down and the botting stops.

I couldn't do that. This card has gamed for hundreds, if not thousands of hours, and even more thousands of hours folding. I think over a billion points on this GPU.And you could probably sell it for the same price or msrp based on how the GPU economy is right now lol

They(NVidia) did recently say availability will be resolved soon. Who really knows though. Jensen said that performance was going to be much better than it turned out to be. Let's not hold our breath...I'm hoping that the general availability of 5090s will improve by the summer because I'm building a new PC this summer.

Just some weird flickering in control, and some odd behaviour when overclocking but that's gone in the latest driver.anyone here having driver problems ?
No doubt, 9800X3D gave my 3080 new legs, let alone a beefier GPU like the 5080.this 9900X really woke it up.
I think this latest driver was just a patch/fix-up release without any optimizations.Tested another new driver that dropped today and the same as the last one, perfomance degradation compared to 572.42. Anybody else tested that before and after?
EDIT
Just checked nvidia forums thread on those drivers and I'm not the only one. Also it seems that since 572 many people have the same VRR flicker issue as I do so I hope they will fix both issues soon.
There goes "AMD drivers are bad, compared to Nvidia ones", no, they are both bador rather both can have problems.
