Welcome to the Forums!

Afterburner should work with your card; it works with pretty much everything.

Quick guide to get you 90% there in afterburner:

After installing Afterburner, go into the settings and enable voltage control.
In the main UI, max out the Voltage and Power sliders.
Press Ctrl+F to open the Curve Tuner.
Upper right are some settings; have it scan the curve.
Once it is done, save the OC to a profile, and set it to automatically apply at startup!

From there, you can manually tweak the OC to your liking.
Appreciate the quickstart. This is the jayz2cents video i was referring to.

I’m getting the 5080 though.
Also got a new lianli case, and it’s so new, i actually couldn’t find a whole lot about it on the joogles, CG237
Couple of pics attached here pre-build. Coming from a lancool 2 mesh.

Hey everybody, it’s my first post here (just found this site!)
Indeed, Welcome to TPU!
Zotac amp extreme infinity
The 5090 or 5080 version?
I saw a video on zotac’s software being terrible and that afterburner doesn’t support the zotac cards, have you all seen anything further on that (might have been jays2cents)?
I saw that too. Unless you're really wanting to OC right away, you should expect the Zotac will fix and improve their software. They usually do. With the 5090, OCing doesn't seem all that important or useful. The 5080 however can OC a bit better, so depending which model you bought... EDIT: I missed that you said a 5080 earlier.

Looks like we have a confirmed power connector failure on a 5090, with the issue apparently arising from the power supply side:

https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1ilhfk0
I disagree with the comments in the thread there regarding third party cables, following the logic displayed on Reddit, any power supplies with native 12VHPWR compatibility would count as third party by default. My personal advice in this situation is to use a high-quality, 16 AWG or thicker cable, before installing my 5090 I am probably going to order a brand new custom kit just to be on the safe side. This, of course, applies to the 4090, 4080 and 3090 Ti as well

I also subbed. I had only recently heard of that brand of cards.

Palit is a large manufacturer and they have been around for a very long time, too. They own the Galax/KFA2 and Gainward brands, also manufacturing custom designs for ODMs and system builders. Cards are quite reliable, and it was surprising to see the GameRock at MSRP this generation. It's not my favorite design, but the ASUS tax was way too much for me with the price hike on the 90 tier.

I have heard of Gainward. I wasn’t passing any judgement, I just only recently became aware they made nvidia cards. Are they available in the US? I’ve never seen them on a store shelf or on any of the online retailers I shop that I know of.
Also, is there a trial period or something before comments stop being held for moderation? I had posted some of the info lex asked last night but the comment wasn’t released until after he had asked. Etc.

Don't worry, it's just because you registered recently. Some of your posts might need moderator authorization to go through, but don't worry, they always look at it and after a little while, they won't be held up for review anymore. :)

I believe Palit/Gainward cards usually sell more in Europe, South America and the Asian markets. I believe they do exist in the US, but it's not a top brand over there. AIB market tends to be smaller in NA because first-party GPUs directly from the manufacturers (such as NVIDIA FE and AMD MBA cards) are available and generally more affordable.

They also own both PNY and Galax, I used to own a palit 3650 and always knew them as reliable but also to be reptile lovers
