MSI, a leading global provider of high-performance server solutions, showcased its cutting-edge 4U and 2U AI platforms built on the NVIDIA MGX reference architecture at GTC 2025, held from March 18-21 at booth 909. Designed to meet the diverse demands of AI, HPC, and data-intensive applications, MSI's MGX-based AI servers deliver scalable performance and robust resilience. These platforms cater to the needs of enterprise and cloud data centers, leveraging modular, building-block features to optimize the strengths of AI workloads and drive next-level high-performance computing.

"AI adoption has become a critical focus for enterprise data centers, as organizations look to harness advanced AI capabilities to gain competitive advantages," said Danny Hsu, General Manager of Enterprise Platform Solutions at MSI. "MSI's AI servers are designed to meet these evolving needs, offering the scalability, flexibility, and resilience required to keep pace with rapidly growing AI workloads. By integrating the NVIDIA MGX reference architecture, we empower enterprises to build future-proof infrastructure that maximizes performance while minimizing complexity and downtime."

Leveraging the NVIDIA MGX modular architecture, MSI's new AI platforms lay the foundation for scalable, future-proof AI infrastructure. The 4U CG480-S5063 and 2U CG290-S3063 servers deliver a robust, scalable foundation to meet the evolving demands of GPU and AI server technologies, driving long-term innovation and adaptability for enterprises and data centers.

The CG480-S5063 4U AI server platform is a cutting-edge solution designed for advanced AI workloads, including large language models (LLMs), deep learning training, and complex data analytics. Powered by the NVIDIA MGX architecture, it features dual Intel Xeon 6 processors and eight FHFL dual-width GPU slots, supporting both NVIDIA H200 NVL and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition with power capacities of up to 600W. Featuring 32 DDR5 DIMM slots and twenty PCIe 5.0 E1.S NVMe bays, the CG480-S5063 ensures exceptional memory bandwidth and rapid data access. Its modular design and robust storage capabilities make it the perfect choice for next-generation AI and HPC applications, delivering unparalleled performance and scalability.

The CG290-S3063 2U AI server platform is tailored to meet the diverse requirements of AI and HPC workloads. Built on the NVIDIA MGX architecture, it features a single-socket Intel Xeon 6 processor and four FHFL dual-width GPU slots, offering support for 600W front I/O and 400W rear I/O across two SKU options. Equipped with PCIe 5.0 expansion slots, eight 2.5-inch drive bays, and two M.2 NVMe slots, this server delivers flexible configurations and exceptional computing power. It is an ideal solution for applications ranging from small-scale inferencing to large-scale AI training.

Oh BROTHER they're gonna scalp datacenter now?

I think they have to move to sectors that actually do create revenue - waiting for Nvidia to create enough gaming cards will force them on a path of EVGA. And that's the problem all AIBs are facing.

Nah, while NVIDIA only loves money more than itself. Crypto and now AI made catering to the Data centre market stupendously more profitable, than gaming.
From 2020 to 2025, the Data centre sales figures skyrocketed to the moon by over 1100% (to $120 billion) and is only expected to keep growing that way, while the gaming segment revenue declined by 10%. (to “just” $12 billion)

Even, if there would be enough silicon to go around, AIB's would hop on the Hype train.
Everyone is salivating about a piece of that AI pie!
