How about conveying mercury through copper tubes? That could be the best conductor.

I remember in the 7th grade[ I'm old] we passed it around the class in are bare hands. The next year they evacuated part of the school after some one broke a thermometer with mercury in it
I was being sarcastic in my first post about adding a buzzer to my CPU block. After reading it again it doesn't look like it though. The sarcasm is because the article makes it seem like you'll have this in a dell in a few years when it really applies to industrial phase change systems that are still far beyond being used in any mass market way. Putting a buzzer in a good phase change unit might make for some new records though.
LN phase change unit[ recirculating ] is where it's at and all we need is ton's of money and some smart guys to make it for us.

Not very if it's sealed in an oxygen free tube.
You can use water just put it in a vacuum and it'll boil at a lower tempature. Arn't the heatpipes used today already under vacuum?

The ideal liquid would be similar to that used in heat pipes that has a boiling point about 40-60C. A boiling point range is achieved by blending several different liquids. These are very commonly available liquids as some people have mentioned, i.e. air conditioning fluid. These products are available in a variety of boiling points, and are usually non-flammable. I don't know if they are non conductive though.
You can google/wikipedia them by searching for refrigerants.
