I guess that Halo movie got cancelled wasn't Wolfgang Petersen or Peter Jackson supposed to do it?

I could so see Jason Statham in "Driver" lol, Alone in the Dark II I didn't even like the first

im looking forward to seeing Max Payne that could turn out to be a really good action film noir but it will probably turn out like crap like every other movie lol.

I mean, they make them for the fans of the games, if the game is popular, most people who've played that game will be interested in the movie.

I thought alone in the dark 1 was complete crap, however game to movies are usualy just action-movies with a story you already know, or a bad one, but there usualy pretty entertaining.

Edit: Actuley, come to think of it, most movies based on games use a completey new story, that is often too far away from the actual game, causing them to be crap *Cough* resident evil 2+3 movies *Cough*

You got him on that one! as a big fan of FF and FF7, i enjoyed the film very much, but that was because it was a DIRECT sequal from the game, and not on a diffrent story, or totaly diffrent with just FF enemies, ect which is why it rocked!

However most games don't have a large enough fan-base to be made just for fans, if you get what i mean!

Which is why someone can watch Doom, without playing the games, however the same can't be said for FF advent children

The CGI movie of Resident Evil does look good, i think games to movies should be done by the devs themselfs, and in CGI, or anime to avoid the movies being total rubbish

Yeah I feel you on that. It really hard to make sure a real movie comes out right. I'm really looking forward to see Dragon Ball as a live action movie. Yeah, its not a game, but they are doing the same stuff. Making a animated thing, live action. I'm just happy that they made Transformers when they did. It may not be the best to some, but I don't think they could make it better as they did.
