ok, how to make a screenie

1. start off with what you want to look at
2. hit print screen on your keyboard
3. open paint, paste the image into paint
4. crop anything off that you dont want
5. save the doc as a jpg
6. then go to techpowerup.org
7. upload your image there
8. copy the provided link and paste it in your post!!

The difference between Vista and XP is all in the CPU score. I actually did lots of tests on this about 2 months ago. A vista result will give about 500 less on the CPU. For me it was perfectly consistant.

I too know Vista to fall on the CPU Test, and especially the x64 versions.

No new scores yet but I've been tweaking this Maximus Rampage

D) and I've got a lot more performance out of it, expect some more post-midnight scores again! :toast:

3850 AGP got me 8229

Running all stock speeds, the HD 3850 AGP got me 8229.

ok, so the poll says that 7 people have an x2 crossfire system. if I had a x2 crossfire system, I would be jumping for joy for that I had an x2 xfire system, and I would post numbers as soon as possible!!!!! I like the idea of the pole, but people will click on anything, Id say its best not there.

This is my last score, it is impossible for me to go higher...
I got an average q6600 that is not stable in 3dmark over 3.8ghz 1:1,
and my 3870 have reached its limit at 1.75volt.

( I could use that post processing trick but that is cheating,
Tried it and got 200 more frames in GT1 before crashing in GT2)
Tired of waiting, i want to see asb kick some ass with a brand new volt modded 3870 :slap:

I have to ask because of the hassle I had with the 8.3 Cats on XP, how have you got them to perform so well? I lost the best part of 3K on the 8.3 Cats?

Also, I'm sure it's here somewhere but what kind of cooling are you running on that 3870?

soon enough my friend. The taxes have been filed. The parts are coming soon. and I will be breaking out the solder pretty quickly. Although I am alittle worried about frying a second card

I never had problems with catalyst drivers, maybe because i disable CCC and use rivatuner

And for cooling i use a d-tek fusion gpu water block and the stock ram heatsink that i glued with epoxy
(before realising its a gdam aluminium piece of S&*%) :banghead:

Be careful with that iron, myself got very lucky by destroying a soldering point, good thing that there is more than one of those! :roll:

Same here, I only ever install the standalone driver and then use RivaTuner too...
