Armari reveals XCP computer

UK company Armari has decided to reveal its "top secret XCP über-PC project" to Hexus:

The above is a result of two years of research and development. The goal was simple: to build a computer that would offer the best performance, not staying away from exotic cooling technologies like liquid nitrogen, liquid fluorocarbon immersion, TEC, and phase-change. Unlike most benchmarking machines however, this one was designed to run 24/7.

Once the XCP goes into production, a liquid-cooled model, with appropriately extravagant hardware, should cost in the region of £10,000. The computer will be available in limited numbers.

Laaame......anybody with the knowledge to want such an exotic setup will just build it themselves...for less dosh..kinda pointless and cancels itself out...like an alienware rig..lol

so... we have a team that try to redesign a pc, a power benchmark machine that run every day like a normal pc run.

the results is a "think" that look like .... (you named what look) and also will cost 10000£. with this money can buy 5 top high end pc for the next 5 years

.

so the practicality and the market place for this "uber PC" is constant and try to be ZERO .

If this think cost 10000£, what price we will pay for the upgrade ?

Hut's floating dessert boat have a better look that this.

How can you have a NL system run 24/7 :confused:

I thought the process of compression took an insane amount of power and space.
Anyway it sounds like this system is not user upgradeable so in a year or so the"umber"will be a "good PC" and in two will be a" decent PC" Until it's a crazy looking system for the kids to do homework on. The top end falls fast these days,not worth it IMO.
