Hey all,
I was recently trying to figure out how to use an eyetoy as a webcam, and I found some of the guides to be a bit vague. So, I decided to write my own, to save any of you the hassle I went through.
I like these drivers,
Download here
It's fairly simple to install the drivers:
1. Plug in the Eyetoy.
2. Let the Found New Hardware Wizard pop up,
3. Install From List or Specific Location
4. Choose the first choice "Search for the best driver in these locations"
5. Tick the second box that says "Include this location in Search"
6. Browse to where you extracted the downloaded ZIP file.
7. Click next, etc
8. A Dialog box will pop up with a bunch of text, click install anyway
9. Another dialog box will pop up about the Hz. Just use to where your location is.
10. Woot!
There are a lot of guides out there, but I tried to make mine the easiest and most clearest.
Hope this helps anyone
