Well GT300 very well may exist right now, it would fit Nvidia quite well, they had the first G80 tapped out before G71 it just wasn't ready to ship yet. GT200 was most likly ready to go last year but there wasn't a reason to launch the card and instead the G92 arrived first. So GT300 could exist right now and just need to be tapped out. Though id expect a GX2 260 or GX2 280 first using dual PCB like normal and it shouldnt be any less econmical than the R700 as the GT200 doesnt run any hotter or use as much power as the R770 based cards, so its well within Nvidia's means to double it up
