4,2 ghz, my cpu really needs alot of vcore to do that... Before i could run it fine @ ~1.4, now i need 1.5...

nice, looks like its starting to show the wear of the overclock.

My buddies E6300 was at 3.2GHz before, now it is not stable at anything over 3.0GHz. So its starting to show the wear.

The CPU is degrading dont give it more volts your killing it, if its a 45nm dont give it more than 1.380 anyyhinh higher kills em in the short term. Hence why you have to give it more Vcore than before..

The creator of this thread must be busy.

I think a link to ORB Futuremark should be enough to show a score.

My best score so far with a single HD4850 is 13,913

Running Toxic Sapphire HD4850 core@700mhz GDDR3@1200mhz/ with E8400@3.5GHZ.

More details in the link:

@lester- see if you can find a propper bios for that motherboard...(you didnt say which one it is)

you need to run that q6600 @ 3.6-3.8ghz as anything lower will bottleneck your card...

as you have a machine which has come pre-crippled i would forget about benchmarking and just be happy playing games...

use the time you have now learning how to replace your componants...

i'd say you'll need-

psu-seasonic m12 700w
motherboard-wait for bloomfield
ddr2 or ddr3 depending on which mb you go for... 6gb of ddr3 would be the best as you will be able to run tripple channel on a nehelam/bloomfield cpu/mb combo...
definatly dont skimp on the hard drive... i would recommend a samsung f1 1tb
and vista ultimate 64bit....

and dont go buying a dell/hp/pcworld rig ever again....lol good luck

Thank You for your response bro greatly appreciate it
man theres nothing i can do about my stupid HP computer, my parents said i have to buy it in a 'package' and i cannot buy customized parts (because of monthly down payment that i even have to pay for) I KNOW FOR A FACT that the HP company disabled(LOCKED) the ADVANCE BIOS so i cannot overclock it, so do you think i should replace my motherboard(AMI)? man that was a big mistake buying it too but o well i guess i have to wait another 5 more years for another comp man lol
thank you!

ps i just wished i could have an expert come over and help me with this stuff because buying this wasnt cheap too lol @ 1.6K =\
defiantly a ripp of but i couldnt do anything because of down payments and stuff but yeah........ like if i replace my motherboard i could overclock my CPU? BUT do you think i will need to buy fans/cooling for the system. because right now the stock temp is around 40 degrees idle.

Sounds like the folder under you user account needs wiped or deleted from hard drive then reinstall the vantage program.

Just looked ,Go to your program data folder and delete the Futuremark folder and rerun the program.

Do not use version 8_06_12 of PhysX, it's designed for Nvida cards specially, use earlier version.
Other than that, in Safe Mode use something like Driver Cleaner Pro and remove all Nvidia drivers. This may help :)

Thanks, i'll try an older version of the PhysX drivers. I cleaned the nVidia drivers long ago :)

nice run Jmatt, thats why I can pull of now on my daily settings, although I Have a quadcore which scores higher, my card is already showing its age and doesn't do very well with Vista.

Those were my plans, but I'm not sure yet. I've been wanting to switch over to intel for a bit now and since I had the mobo already I went ahead and just bought a phenom. We'll see what happens. However the Denebs should be a lot better than the current Agena.

haha.

I dont know yet, i love AMD, the flexibility of the Phenom is great. Right now I'm running it as a Kuma. which is two cores. Running at 2.2GHz @ 1.1v, (see screenshot) things stay really cool, and saves power. Also I can play all my games without any problems, and for everyday use, there is really not much difference from running all four cores.

When I had my 6000+ @ 3.3GHz my best 3dmark 06 run was 11243. Which was ok for my specs, I slapped the phenom on at 3.1Ghz, and it jumped to 12925!!!!!!!!

If I do go intel, the combo I have looked up is the Core 2 Quad Q9450 (45nm), and a DFI Lan party mobo, either x38 or x48 northbridge.

As far as temps yeah, but I mean on water going from 1.32v for the quad to 1.1v for the dual core, temps drop like 5-6ºc. At night time where its cool, I idle around 27-31ºc and load is like 34ºc.

As far as difference gaming, I haven't noticed any, so far i've played Grid, Crysis, and Call of Duty 4. They run flawlessly. Crysis howeveris at High settings, not Very High. But even with a quad, its just my card.

Damn dude, in Vantage I double your cpu score, and you double my GPU score. Shit, I need a card!!!!!!
