OK - then BIOS was full and the removal of another ID 20 ROM was needed - That's fine.
But be sure that you choose an formaly additionally added ROM :) DEV 144D is Samsung and is for sure added by Ismail... And should be save to remove if no Samsung NVMe is used.
Or/and check via...
1. Yes - Possible - But just add it as a new one. Replacing is not needed! MMTOOL does not like it if eg. all ID 20 ROMs are removed.
2. No - Only known working Leagacy NVMe OPROM has the Samsung 950 Pro - And this OPROM is/was the base of all Ismalis modding (HEX modded for every single NVMe)...
Looks like you need more digging in the thread. Actually all is mentioen for your AMIBIOS already. :)
Look here. The first picture shows were and how to change values. There are two Samsungs shown: VEN_144D DEV_A802 and VEN_144D DEV_A804...
This is just to finalize this side projekt of Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 (Rev.2!) latest FD BIOS (2MB):
This attached BIOS X58AUD7A.FD is now fully modded with the available PCI ROMs, based on Regenerations BIOS with Spectre/Meltdown patched - As this BIOS is almost full now, no addition of further...
Here is an easy guide with/for MMTool (scroll up for command-line way with AMIMMWIN.exe)

Ismail used the same PCI ROMs as for Gigabyte BIOS which are HEX edited to match VEN/DEV and...
Very Good !!!!
To all others... The BIOS X58AUD72.FD in particular has ONLY "WD Blue SN570 NVMe SSD (15B7-501A)" included - No other NVMe works with this...
If I find the time I'll re-add all the other modules which friend Ismail added before.
Ismail modded BIOS (for UD7 Rev2) from first page...
Very Good! Nice that FC is working. :toast:
Now you can activate your needed integrated peripherals (Like SATA stuff etc) back again. Step by step - Not all in one session.
And see if some/one of them will make your NVMe disapear again...
I guess I may found the culprit with 2MB FD Bios. For...
Normaly I stopped modding BIOS. But this GA-EX58A-UD7 (Rev2) awakes my interest :) - Sorry - this will be my last try to help.
It's a bit strange that latest BIOS FD is 2MB (with nasty EXTBIOS.BIN at the end) and FC only 1MB - But anyway...
This is made out of 100% stock BIOS FC and FD without...
As I said! Disable as much as possibe of the integrated peripherals. And set to ICH SATA to AHCI.
I took your pictures an modified it what to disable (for testing)
As mentioned in this thread several times please try to disable as much as possible of the integrated peripherals.
For testing remove as much as possible of your other HDDs/SSDs - Better to remove them all for testing... Test with ONLY NVMe in PCIe slot.
"75" is an BIOS code which reports that...
Welcome to my world :toast:
I would now better go with Corsairs 3x8GB (Dual Ranks) to get 24GB - My setup with Corsair 2133 6x4GB (Dual Ranks) is limiting high BCLKs. But because I already had 3x4 I decided some years ago to buy another set of used 3x4GB (same build and same Corsair ID 4.13...
Hey Panda. First of all Thanks that you (and others) keeps this thread alive - And helping others to understand what this is all about.
Regarding "Max possible NVMe Data Rate on X58 with PCIe 2.0" - Check these posts (in this order)...
Many thanks for your pictures. This proves that this card let one NVMe runs at PCIe 2.0 x8.
Nevertheless - quite intersing Lane handling of that ASM2824 Chip/Switch :)
Here's another report how this ASM2824 PCIe switch works on PCIe 2.0 setups...
