Throttlestop bug with 12900HX CPU - CPU limited to 35W

@unclewebb - Just had an idea to prevent all the tech support calls about VBS/VM-P/UnderVolt Protection - If we detect that ThrottleStop does not have access to the voltage regulator interfaces (presumbly TS already has this logic built in to show the banner at the top), show a button the user...

Undervolt Protection on ASUS with i9 13980HX

You guys are referring to this method, right? Look through the exported file for UnderVolt Protection, CFG Lock, and Overclocking Lock - set them all to 0x0. If you see "OverClocking Feature" or "CPU Overclocking", set that to 0x1. SA GV allows automatic RAM clock speed downscaling during...

    Omen i7-13700HX undervolt

If you're brave, there is a potential **universal** way to unlock 11/12/13th gen HX/HK Intel laptops' undervolting capabilities even if the BIOS does not officially expose them. This guy's YouTube video has the rough outline for what to do: You don't really need to go the length of dumping...

    Legion Pro 7i 13900HX undervolt

Won't cause damage - the VR CURRENT indicator means the VRM is throttling back power to prevent itself from being cooked. I disabled BD PROCHOT in the BIOS (using the risky Advanced BIOS unlocker tool), so my only limits now are THERMAL, PL1, and VR CURRENT. Do NOT disable PROCHOT however, as...

    Unable to undervolt Laptop i9-12900HX

Yeah, focus on Core and P cache undervolts only. The P cache will not undervolt as far as the cores - it's entirely normal for it to cap out sooner than the cores and they will likely not be the same value. The GPU can definitely be undervolted for huge gains especially in cross-load...

Undervolt Protection on ASUS with i9 13980HX

I can get 34.5k single run r23 on my Legion 7i Pro. 32.5k sustained 10 min run. Both using my 24/7 undervolt of -125mV core and cache.

Undervolt Protection on ASUS with i9 13980HX

Asus in their infinite wisdom made it so you could only undervolt in the BIOS and not in Windows...

[SOLVED] 13900HX only getting 1600 single core on Cinebench R23. Any ideas?

LMAO, disabling Thermal Velocity Boost took me from 2057 to 2090 on single core:

Glad it helped! Use either Lenovo Vantage or Legion Toolkit to switch to Performance mode.

    Intel 13th Gen Support?

Oh yeah...I tried TS 9.6 on my desktop 13900K as well with Asus z690 board and it works with adjusting power limits, but undervolting the core voltage does not work there for some reason. However the P Cache voltage does work. Just did it for curiosity sake. I know I lost the silicon lottery on...

[SOLVED] 13900HX only getting 1600 single core on Cinebench R23. Any ideas?

@carlos1172 My single core performance is normal here... US version of your laptop. I did the above tweaks I mentioned plus -125 mV undervolt on CPU P cores and P cache, and what unclewebb mentioned with IccMax maxed out. BIOS version is kwcn35ww. My multi-core score is on the low side...

[SOLVED] 13900HX only getting 1600 single core on Cinebench R23. Any ideas?

These Lenovo machines (and some other OEMs) include drivers that gimp performance for some reason. Here's how to disable them, Open regedit Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ACPIVPC Change the value of Start to 4 (which is Disabled). Take note of the original...
