That is stupid. The GTX 295 was inferior to the MARS in a few ways, such as memory bus and capacity. The 5970 simply has lower clocks, which is meaningless because it can be overclocked to 1Ghz on stock.

Gosh, I know that DDR2 prices have magically risen recently, but 80$ for 4GB seems a bit high to me, considering I just found a single 2GB stick for 20$ on eBay. 200$ for 12GB sounds alright, but I really don't need that much last-gen RAM. Well, good luck on eBay!

Hey, don't mention it. I don't mind shelfing out a card at the moment. Right now I'm into getting my CPU's past the clocks in your sig :D I think 4.5Ghz on an E5300 on Air is the most exciting.
